This excellent album was released in 1972 on Atlantic Records and was the one and only release from a fusion band from Philadelphia. Mainly instrumental (with some vocal accents) Good God's record contains tightly arranged and very original dose of energeticjazz rock with some progressive and even hard rock influences. The songs showed the instrumental virtuosity and imaginative approach with strong guitar parts leading the way. The group did a fantastic job on Frank Zappa's ‘King Kong’ and John McLaughlin's ‘Dragon Song’, although other four compositions were no less memorable. Most probably it was the greatest 'forgotten' progressive-fussion album ever! Unfortunately, the band sunk without a trace.

Brit Pop, Rock | Music Brokers #MBB7245

Brit Pop emerged in the U.K. as a music trend characterized by the use of exclusively British music influences to shape the sound of up and coming bands in the 1990s when multiple bands emerged in the early 90s that ended up leaving us with a superb catalog of memorable songs. Out of all of them, Oasis and Blur were the ones that achieved the biggest global success. In The Many Faces Of Oasis we’ll enjoy the lesser known paths of the band’s members and their multiple collaborations and we will enjoy the British rock scene from where they emerged. A 3CD album that features obscure gems, live takes and the side projects that provides the whole picture of the band that took British rock back to the top of the music scene. With fantastic artwork, remastered sound and extensive liner notes, this an essential additional to your rock music collection. Also remember that is not available on streaming platforms!

After spending much of 1981 involved in a successful tour, Nazareth returned to the studio with a newfound sense of vigor the next year. The album they produced was 2XS, an outing that stands alongside Malice in Wonderland as one of their finest achievements during the 1980s. Although its sound goes for the sonic sleekness of AOR, it does not skimp on the hard rock elements. For instance, "Love Leads to Madness" boasts the kind of sumptuous power ballad melody that helped it become a radio favorite but is also layered with plenty of surprisingly heavy power chords. 2XS also finds the group cranking out some of their most furious rockers since the days of Expect No Mercy and No Mean City:

Few bands in the history of the heavy metal underground have a story as remarkable, improbable, or uplifting as that of Cirith Ungol. Formed in Ventura, California, in the early 1970s, Cirith Ungol created a sound the world had never experienced before. Wasting no time to ride their molten wave they started with their 2020 studio comeback Forever Black, Cirith Ungol started writing songs for Dark Parade as soon as Forever Black was released. Then, like everyone else, Cirith Ungol were hamstrung by the global pandemic, struggling through illness, seclusion, grief, and depression in their quest to create dark, vibrant art. And like the greatest warriors, they persevered, working on one song at a time - distractions be damned. The first track composed was the crushing "Relentless," which reinforced their confidence and clarity of vision. The rest of the album came naturally, fueled by personal misery and the tragedy of worldwide collapse.

Road Songs for Lovers is the twenty-fourth studio album by British singer-songwriter Chris Rea, released on 29 September 2017. Rea stated there was no initial intention to make a new album, but after a bad medical condition in 2016 he started to write new songs which eventually led to a band regroup, and first album release in six years. The songs were inspired by traveling on the road to London, seeing couples in cars and questioning the "people's love stories inside cars". According to Rea, most of the songs are about a boy-girl relationship in the car. He has stated that his favorite song is "Last Train", the lyrics of which are not about the typical meaning of the last train which goes home, but taking the last train in a desperate situation without knowing anything about its direction. Deluxe 2-Disc Set includes Bonus CD Live At The Montreux Jazz Festival, Saturday, July 5, 2014.

Friendship is a groovy power trio from Oslo, Norway. The band was formed in 2010 and consists today of Fredrik Skalstad on drums and vocals, Sander Eriksen Nordahl on guitar and Martin Morland on bass. The gel that binds the trio is their years of experience and discipline to their craft as musicians. As a result, Friendship have forged a sound that is tight, groovy, dynamic and adventurous; a sound that is unmistakeably Friendship. Taking influence from the psychedelic vibe of the late 60’s and the heart and soul of the early 70s, Friendship bring something reinvigorating and fresh to the table of retro-rock bands. These influences become apparent when you experience Friendship the way they were meant to be heard, live. Feeding on the energy of the moment, Friendship soar seamlessly through cosmic jams, no performance ever the same, effortlessly demonstrating their craftsmanship and joy of music.

Mungo Jerry are one of rock's great one-hit successes. Outside of England, they're known for exactly one song, but that song, "In the Summertime," is a seasonal anthem known by listeners who weren't even born when it was released. Mungo Jerry was a solid blues outfit as well – in fact, one suspects they were the kind of blues band that purists Alexis Korner and Cyril Davies would have loved, had they ever intersected – and knew how to get the most out of their jug band sound, which helped them survive for decades.

Here we have Canadian musician Rick Miller back with his sixteenth studio album, for which he has kept the same line-up as he had for 2020's "Unstuck In Time".
Pink Floyd has always been an influence, but there is also much on here that one could relate back to early Barclay James Harvest while Alan Parsons Project is also involved somewhere along the line. Miller is crossover in its truest sense in that he has no boundaries and instead goes where ethe muse takes him, so we can be symphonic in some places and folk in others, always with his emotional and haunting vocals bringing the listener deep inside. While many of his influences do reach back in time, this never feels like an album from nearly 50 years ago but instead is fresh and new.
