Free's second album was recorded with the band itself in considerable turmoil. Principal songwriters Paul Rodgers and Andy Fraser demanded strict discipline from their bandmates, and guitarist Paul Kossoff in particular equally demanded the spontaneity and freedom that had characterized the group's debut. It was an awkward period; both Kossoff and drummer Simon Kirke came close to quitting, and only the intervention of Island label chief Chris Blackwell seems to have prevented it. Few of these tensions, however, are evident on the finished album. (Tribute, again, to Blackwell's powers of diplomacy.) He replaced original producer Guy Stevens early into the sessions and, having reminded both warring parties where the band's strengths lay, proceeded to coax out an album that stands alongside its predecessor as a benchmark of British blues at the turn of the 1970s.

Chess Records’ The Real Folk Blues series was crafted to appeal to the growing “folk music craze” of the 1960s. Muddy Waters’ The Real Folk Blues was the very first release of this series and featured some of his earliest recordings, including his first recording for Artistocrat (the predecessor to Chess). Howlin’ Wolf’s The Real Folk Blues combined singles recorded between 1956 and 1965 and is considered one of the best compilations of the Chess series. The music on this record paints a daring portrait of Howlin’ Wolf, presenting exceptional music that had not been presented in album format before. Classics on this record include "Killing Floor," "Tail Dragger," and "Built for Comfort.”

Released on May 16, 1966, Pet Sounds was produced and primarily composed by Brian Wilson and is considered a masterpiece of pop music and one of the most influential albums in history. It features the classic singles “God Only Knows," “Sloop John B" and "Wouldn't It Be Nice."

The History of Eric Clapton is a compilation double LP, released in 1972 by Polydor Records in the United Kingdom, and Atco Records in the United States. It features Eric Clapton performing in various bands between 1964 and 1970, including The Yardbirds, Cream, Blind Faith and Derek and the Dominos. The compilation is notable for helping Clapton's career when he was battling heroin addiction and making the song "Layla" famous. It is also notable for being perhaps the first compilation in rock music to collect music of a single rock musician that spans time, bands, music styles and record labels. The album cover picture was taken at George Harrison's Concert for Bangladesh while Clapton was playing "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" on a Gibson Byrdland hollow-body guitar.

Fresh Cream is the debut studio album by the British rock band Cream. The album was released in the UK on 9 December 1966, as the first LP on the Reaction Records label, owned by producer Robert Stigwood. The UK album was released in both mono and stereo versions, at the same time as the release of the single "I Feel Free". The album peaked at No. 6 on the UK Albums Chart. The album was released in a slightly different form in January 1967 by Atco Records in the US, also in mono and stereo versions.

Beginnings (1994) is a European compilation album highlighting the early blues-rock recordings of legendary British guitarist Eric Clapton. Released primarily in Portugal and the UK via budget labels like Charly Records and Classic Popular, the CD focuses heavily on historical 1960s tracks. It bridges his work with The Yardbirds and his studio jam collaborations alongside fellow guitar icon Jimmy Page.

Super Deluxe Edition chronicles the full creation of Cream's groundbreaking third album. The 5-CD set features a newly remastered stereo version of the album, plus a phase-corrected version that delivers greater detail and a crisp soundstage. Disc 2 includes previously unreleased personal reference reels sourced from the late Cream producer, Felix Pappalardi. It’s the Blues Man! is guitarist, harmonica player, singer, and songwriter, Eddie Kirkland’s 1962 debut, on which he is backed by saxophonist King Curtis and his band. In the liner notes to these carefully packaged reissues, all four of the Incredible String Band principals– co-founder Clive Palmer, core duo Mike Heron and Robin Williamson, and Elektra records executive Joe Boyd– offer their insights in separate essays. Three of them mention the smell of patchouli. Such were the times, certainly, but the ISB are loved equally by avant-garde musicians, psychedelia enthusiasts, and those slightly dweeby young gentlemen who hang around music shops on college campuses. The reissue of their first four albums probably put to rest any notion that the ISB were a properly great band, releasing just one true classic, but they were rarely anything less than brave, inspired, and profoundly weird.
