Open Your Mind and Your Trousers is the twenty first studio album by German band Scooter. It was released on 22 March 2024 through Sheffield Tunes, Kontor Records and Virgin Records. This is the first album to feature Marc Blou, who joined the group in 2022, replacing previous member Sebastian Schilde, and the first without Michael Simon, who was with the band from 2006–22. This album also marks the return of Jay Frog, who was previously with the band from 2002–06, then rejoined in 2022. It's his first album with the band since Who's Got the Last Laugh Now? in 2005.

All 37 songs from Europe's favourite TV show contest together on this official compilation. This 68th edition of the competition will take place in Malmö, Sweden, in May.

An infectious update of the classic synth-pop most famous earlier in the decade, Information Society's self-titled debut sounds most similar to British groups like ABC and Pet Shop Boys, though hits like "What's on Your Mind," "Walking Away," and the cover of "Lay All Your Love on Me" manage to inject the affair with elements of industrial dance and hip-hop. All in all, it's a much better album than expected from the group many dismissed as mere one-hit wonders.

Flash was the DJ and the Furious Five were the best multiple rappers around, moving from the music's low-rent dance origins (it was Flash who began cutting in repeated portions of other records) and party spirit to the "message" approach that took over in the mid 80s, prefigured in "The Message." Deep Forest is the first studio album by the musical group Deep Forest, consisting of French duo Eric Mouquet and Michel Sanchez. The album mixes New Age electronics with UNESCO field recordings of music from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Solomon Islands, Burundi, Tibesti, and the Sahel. Deep Forest was nominated for the Grammy Award as Best World Music Album in 1994. For Sanchez and Mouquet, the most important purpose of the album was to express their own fascination with the Efe people, and open the world's ears to the exquisite sound of a quickly vanishing culture. As Mouquet noted, "It's not very often you can hear a Pygmy singing on the radio."

Monkey Me is the ninth studio album by French singer-songwriter Mylène Farmer, and her 18th album overall. Preceded by the lead single "À l'ombre", which peaked at number-one in France, the album was released on 3 December 2012. Despite mixed reviews from critics, it entered the French album chart at number one in its first week. The album was certified 3× Platinum within its first month of release in France. The album was supported by the sold-out Timeless tour the following year. Despite its strong sales, the album received mixed reviews from the press. On one hand, many critics welcomed the return of Laurent Boutonnat in the songwriting process;[citation needed] on the other hand, others, for example the magazine 7 sur 7, found the arrangements very dated.

Donna Summer's title as the "Queen of Disco" wasn't mere hype. Like many of her contemporaries, she was a talented vocalist trained as a powerful gospel belter, but she set herself apart with her songwriting ability, magnetic stage presence, and shrewd choice of studio collaborators, all of which resulted in sustained success. During the '70s alone, she topped the Billboard club chart 11 times with high-quality, often-high concept material that included the rapturous "Love to Love You Baby," the innovative "I Feel Love," and a radically transformed "MacArthur Park." These crossover hits embodied the disco era with audacious musicality and uninhibited eroticism. After her subgenre was declared dead, Summer was very much part of the evolution of dance music. Through the feminist anthem "She Works Hard for the Money," she became an MTV star, and she continued to top the club chart with disco-rooted house singles through 2010, 35 years after her breakthrough. Indeed, she was the ultimate disco diva.

Swingrowers are an accomplished four-piece band from Palermo, Sicily. Made up of Loredana Grimaudo (singer, songwriter), Roberto Costa aka Pisk (DJ, producer), Alessio Costagliola (guitarist, composer), and Ciro Pusateri (saxophonist, composer). The band fuse a multitude of genres from Jazz to hip-hop, electronica to gypsy-swing, and have seen (or heard!) their sound has steadily evolved since their debut into unique electro swing and vintage-inspired pop. They are noted for their irreverent style, which blends the freshness of dance music, with the warm influences of swing from the 20s to 50s.

Madonna's run at the top of the charts lasted so long, longer than almost any other star, it's almost impossible to squeeze all the hits onto one collection. And so it is that Celebration, a double-disc, 36-track set that also has a companion single-disc condensation, misses a few songs, hits as gorgeous as "Rain" and as goofily camp as "Hanky Panky," but truth be told, they're not greatly missed on this parade of pop genius that's hampered only slightly by its non-chronological order. Out of order, it does emphasize Madonna's consistency, and the bigger problem with the collection is that it mixes up album mixes, single edits, Q-Sound mixes pulled from The Immaculate Collection, and a couple of stray odd edits and mixes. This is a mess, but not quite enough to dilute what is one of the greatest bodies of work in modern pop – even in this mixed-up confusion, these singles are a joy to hear.
