From An FM Radio Broadcast Recorded At Emerson College, Boston, MA 18th January 1987. LIVE 1987 RADIO STUDIO BROADCAST FROM THE BAND S HOMETOWN A stellar in-studio radio performance from the Pixies in 1987, broadcast from the WERS studios at Emerson College in Boston on 18th January, the band perform a killer set recorded two months before the release of their first EP, Come On Pilgrim, and perhaps a year following the classified ad placed by Black Francis, looking for band members into Husker Du and Peter, Paul & Mary. Although C.O.P. is only 20 minutes long, for many fans it remains the Pixies finest 20 minutes on record. The set performed for this broadcast consists of most of the songs from Pilgrim, as well as numbers that would later appear on their next release, the full-length debut, Surfer Rosa.
