In 2009 Steve Morse joined forces yet again with Dave LaRue (Bass) and Van Romaine (Drums) for a new Steve Morse Band album. The result is an album as multifaceted as Morse`s career. "Out Standing In Their Field" is the 12th Steve Morse Band record. It combines Rock, Country, Jazz, Funk and Classic elements and reaches an unbelievable sound spectrum. The entirely instrumental album clearly reflects the remarkable talent of Steve Morse and distinguishes the influences of the artist`s musical history. On top of the fantastic 10 brand new songs, there is a special bonus track: the live recording of "Rising Power" mirrors the unique goosebumps feeling you get when attending a live concert. On the strength of Steve Morse`s fascinating guitar riffs, there is no space of thinking of lead vocals are missing.

Lixx Array was one of those bands who seemingly had everything it took to be successful on the Sunset Strip…except timing. These California boys had the look, the style, the overall sound, but just not the luck. Having released their first single in 1983 and then slugging it out for the next nine or ten years, it would seem that this band, which was certainly better than a lot of those who snagged record deals, would have gotten a shot, but it simply was not to be…

Beef happens even in the best families – and therefore it was only a matter of time until the first fight broke loose in the goat enclosure. In 2008, the horned brothers Goatfreed and Goatleeb Udder hailing from Planet Goat E Borg descended down to earth to bring their unique Goat Grind upon us unsuspecting human beings… and obviously, shit happens when you try to conquer the world together: At some point you simply start to go on each other’s nerves. An epic fight among the family was inevitable. This beef is resulted in the band releasing their first "split" album on December 13th via NoiseArt Records.

Ziggy Stardust wrote the blueprint for David Bowie's hard-rocking glam, and Aladdin Sane essentially follows the pattern, for both better and worse. A lighter affair than Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane is actually a stranger album than its predecessor, buoyed by bizarre lounge-jazz flourishes from pianist Mick Garson and a handful of winding, vaguely experimental songs…

One of the early and by many considered to be one of Norways definitely best prog bands. Their music is a mix of heavy hard-rocking tunes, combined with clear influences from the symphonic genre. The more symphonic sound however didn't appeared until their third, and last studio album, "Janus". High-skilled musicians combined with good, creative melodies makes Aunt Mary a important Norwegian band to become acquainted with.

Deep Purple survived a seemingly endless series of line-up changes and a dramatic mid-career shift from grandiose progressive rock to ear-shattering heavy metal to emerge as a true institution of the British hard rock community. Once credited in The Guinness Book of World Records as the globe's loudest band, their revolving-door roster launched the careers of performers including Ritchie Blackmore, David Coverdale, and Ian Gillan…

It's not billed that way but given the Who's productivity since their initial split in 1982, it's difficult not to view 2019's Who as the band's final album. It's only their second album in 37 years, and if it takes them another 13 years to complete a third – that's the length of time separating Who from 2006's Endless Wire – both Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey will be well into their eighties, a seemingly unlikely age for new work by rockers. Then again, the Who have long outlived Townshend's youthful desire to die before he gets old, a fact he began to contend with during the mid-'70s, when he chronicled his middle-aged disappointment on Who by Numbers. Who doesn't sound much like Who by Numbers.

West, Bruce & Laing were a blues rock power trio super-group formed in 1972 by Leslie West (guitar and vocals; formerly of Mountain), Jack Bruce (bass, harp, keyboards and vocals; ex-Cream) and Corky Laing (drums and vocals; ex-Mountain). The band released two studio albums, Why Dontcha (1972) and Whatever Turns You On (1973), during their active tenure. Their disbanding was officially announced in early 1974 prior to the release of their third and last album, Live 'n' Kickin'. Why Dontcha is the first studio album by power trio West, Bruce and Laing. The album features "The Doctor," which received heavy FM radio airplay upon the album's release and became a signature song in live performance for the band.

In 2000, David Coverdale was officially a full-time solo artist, but it wasn't like the former Whitesnake and Deep Purple vocalist had never recorded an album by himself – his first solo project, Northwinds, came out in the late '70s. Although not groundbreaking, 2000's Into the Light is a decent solo effort that should please those who admire his '70s and '80s output. In fact, this isn't a radical departure from the British singer's work with Whitesnake and Deep Purple. Instead of attempting to be relevant to the alternate rock scene of 2000, Coverdale sticks with the type of commercial hard rock, arena rock, and power ballads that he is best known for.

Club Ninja is the tenth studio album by the U.S. hard rock group Blue Öyster Cult, released in December 10, 1985. The album was intended as a comeback for the band, whose previous album The Revölution by Night failed to attain Gold status following the success of 1981's Fire of Unknown Origin and 1982's Extraterrestrial Live. Club Ninja is the only Blue Öyster Cult studio album not to feature keyboardist Allen Lanier. He was replaced temporarily by Tommy Zvoncheck, who'd previously been keyboardist for Aldo Nova's live band, for a Japanese tour by Public Image Ltd. and had already contributed to the initial recordings of Blue Öyster Cult's 1988 concept album Imaginos.

Well, it is clearly their weakest. Not bad, but the songs are way less exciting and memorable like in the previous albums. Nyeh. I think it could have been much better if they would give more time for this record to "polish" these songs a bit more.
Still, this is a very good classic psychedelic rock album.
