Back to Somewhere (2015) is an album by French synth-pop duo Stereo, released via StereoSomewhere Records. Blending retro synth sounds with modern production, the album features 14 tracks including “Moving In, Moving Out,” “Somewhere in the Night (2015 version),” and “Spirits.” It showcases the band’s nostalgic yet fresh take on 80s-inspired electronic music.

Whitney Houston was inarguably one of the biggest female pop stars of all time. Her accomplishments as a hitmaker were extraordinary; just to scratch the surface, she became the first artist ever to have seven consecutive singles hit number one, and her 1993 Dolly Parton cover "I Will Always Love You" became nothing less than the biggest hit single in rock history. Houston was able to handle big adult contemporary ballads, effervescent, stylish dance-pop, and slick urban contemporary soul with equal dexterity; the result was an across-the-board appeal that was matched by scant few artists of her era, and helped her become one of the first black artists to find success on MTV in Michael Jackson's wake.

The Isley Brothers American R&B/soul group from Cincinnati, Ohio, established in the early 1950's. O’Kelly Isley, Rudolph Isley, Ronald Isley and Vernon Isley (died 1956 in automobile accident), comprised the original group. They released their early hit “Shout!,” in 1959. In 1963 they started own label T-Neck, and added a young Jimi Hendrix on lead guitar. In 1965 they signed on to Motown where they recorded “This Old Heart Of Mine." They left Motown in 1968 and re-launched the T-Neck label in 1969 when they released “It's Your Thing." In 1973 they added the younger brothers Ernie and Marvin Isley, as well as O’Kelly's brother-in-law Chris Jasper, to their regular lineup. During this era from 1973 to 1983 the group continued to release hits like “Between the Sheets," “Choosey Lover,” or “For the Love Of You."

Phish had a busy year in 1994 with the release of their fifth studio album, ‘Hoist’, on March 29th followed by extended U.S. and Canada touring from April through New Year’s Eve. ‘Hoist’ was recorded in Los Angeles County the previous October and November of 1993, when the band was evacuated from ‘Hoist’ sessions at American Recording Company due to the Old Topanga Fire. On May 16th, 1994 during their spring tour, Phish returned to Los Angeles to play The Wiltern Theatre – a landmark Art Deco vaudeville and movie palace built in 1931 with a capacity of about 2,200 and located in Koreatown at the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Western Avenue. It was a Monday night, tickets cost $17.50, and the band had invited The Simpsons creator Matt Groening to the show, catalyzing a long relationship that eventually found Phish on The Simpsons in 2002. The Wiltern ’94 was a nearly non-stop show with an easy flow and adventurous jamming woven around a creative setlist that elevated all those fortunate enough to bear witness.

So much more than just the archetypal jam band, the Grateful Dead grew to become an artistic and cultural institution that existed entirely on their own terms. While the band initially came out of a psychedelic revolution in the Bay Area's musically and chemically exploratory mid-'60s, they quickly evolved from their acid rock beginnings, incorporating elements of Americana and Bakersfield country into gently majestic albums like 1970's American Beauty. Their live shows were completely separate from their studio output, based on freeform improvisation borrowed from jazz and made up of extended performances and set list variations that ensured no two shows were exactly like. Though the band recorded only 13 studio albums between 1967 and 1989, an entire counterculture formed around their endless touring, and they even broke through to the mainstream with an unlikely radio hit in the MTV era. The Grateful Dead effectively ended with bandleader Jerry Garcia's death in 1995, but their presence never faded. Spin-off projects continued decades later, and regularly released archival recordings of the group's more than 2,000 concerts help new generations of Deadheads discover the band's sound, spectacle, and community perennially.

German Brass celebrates the 200th birthday of Johann Strauss with a brand-new album. It contains works by the composer and also works by some of his contemporary companions, such as Chopin, Brahms and Kreisler, that have been arranged as a programmatic "bouquet" around Johann Strauss. Matthias Höfs did the arrangements for the ensemble, presenting a lively new brass sound to known titles from the second half of the 19th century.

Talking Heads formed in 1975 in New York City. The original line up comprised three former art school students who had emerged from the New York punk scene. The trio featured lead vocalist and guitarist David Byrne, drummer Chris Frantz and bassist Tina Weymouth. The edgy stage presence of singer Byrne gave the band a sharp disconcerting power and Talking Heads became a cornerstone of the new wave music phenomenon. In 1978 Talking Heads were augmented by the addition of Jerry Harrison on keyboards and guitar.
