This collection documents the late Prince Far I's (aka Michael Williams) final period with the Trojan label. These are frequently referred to as his best years, despite the fact that Psalms for I and Under Heavy Manners are graded as his finest albums. But it comes down to track-for-track, the dub 12" singles, and the sound system tracks that he cut with one of the greatest bands in the history of reggae, the Arabs – mainly made up of the Roots Radics band with cats like Flabba Holt, Style Scott, Chinna Smith, and Bingy Bunny. Prince Far I's Cry Tough Dub Encounter albums are well known for their visionary quality and stridently spaced out effects. Far I was his own producer from 1977 on, and he did a better job than anybody who had worked with him previously, whether it be Adrian Sherwood, Joe Gibbs, or Bunny Lee. With the exception of the first cut on this two-disc set, "Heavy Manners" produced by Joe Gibbs, the Prince was at the helm for everything else here. Of the 40 selections, four complete albums are represented, and a few singles.

Reggae Masterpieces is a digital compilation from Paris-based label Wagram Music, scheduled for release on October 2, 2026. The collection brings together previously licensed recordings spanning the history of Jamaican music, from rocksteady to 1990s pop reggae. It features influential artists such as Alton Ellis, The Abyssinians, Yellowman, and Chaka Demus & Pliers. A significant portion of the compilation consists of recordings from the Taxi label, run by Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare; other tracks were released on Wagram’s Chapter Two Records imprint. A recurring theme throughout the album is reggae versions of classic soul and pop hits, including landmark recordings by Jimmy Riley, Marcia Griffiths, and The Wailers. The release combines classic hits from the Taxi catalog with acoustic live recordings by Inna de Yard, offering a comprehensive introduction to Wagram’s reggae archive.

Conscious Party, Ziggy Marley & The Melody Makers’ Grammy-award winning album, is being reissued on vinyl and digital. This is the first vinyl pressing of the album since its initial release nearly forty years ago in 1988. Ziggy Marley & The Melody Makers was founded in 1979 by four of Bob Marley’s eleven children: Sharon, Cedella, Ziggy, and Stephen. They cut their third album at Sigma Sound in New York City with producers Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth (Talking Heads, Tom Tom Club.) Conscious Party was released on April 5th, 1988, and charted at number 23 on the Billboard 200. It spawned multiple successful singles, including number one Billboard R&B chart hit “Tumblin’ Down” as well as “Tomorrow People,” which now has over 30 million streams on Spotify. The record went on to win the Grammy for Best Reggae Album.
