TOTAL ECLIPSE was conceived in 1993, well into Great Dane's ambitious "Pink Floyd Project." Great Dane had wanted to put out a box set that would appeal to the fans who had been terribly dissapointed with "Shine On," Pink Floyd's official release. It's purpose was to attempt to bring to the fans a comprehensive overview of the band's career, substituting rare material and alternative tracks wherever possible. This is the reason why many of the early singles and B-sides were included. Much "Top Gear" material was also included because not only were the sound sources believed to be the better than on any previously released RoIO (RoIO = Record of Illegitimate/Indeterminate Origin), but also because it seemed that these tracks should also be represented in the band's history. TOTAL ECLIPSE was meant to be chronological (although a few tracks are out of order) and comprehensive; something that could be listened to from beginning to end.

The Paris Collection is a live album by progressive rock band Camel released 30 October 2001. Keyboardist Guy LeBlanc took vocal duties from Andy Latimer due to the latter's illness. The album features 10 live tracks, including the bonus track 'Slow Yourself Down' (Rehearsal Version) from Camel Productions.

In 1980, the 9th Creation began working on new music at a Modesto studio, South East of Stockton. The studio was suspiciously cheaper than all of its competitors. After recording weeks of material, the band discovered the reason. “We didn’t know that the guys that were running the studio were drug dealers,” A.D. Burrise recalls. “There was a big raid.” All the studio’s master tapes were confiscated by the DEA. J.D Burrise unsuccessfully sued the DEA to recover the tapes. Luckily Mike Micenheimer saved cassette mix-downs of some of the group’s songs from those sessions. “A Step Ahead” is the the 9th Creation’s lost album. 8 unreleased songs of pure soul, funk, disco and boogie.

So this is where we find our hero in 2003. Jack Johnson's live album recorded "En Concert" on his 2008 world tour. Johnson released a companion live concert film of the same name, En Concert the album isn't exactly the soundtrack to that film. It's a compilation of some of the special moments on the tour, including a version of Constellations with Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder from the Bonnaroo Festival. Longtime crowd favourites are mashed up with snippets from some of Johnson's own favorite songs: Do You Remember segues into a verse from Jimi Hendrix’s Remember; Johnson's The Horizon Has Been Defeated blends into Paul Simon’s Mother and Child Reunion. 100% of the 2008 tour profits and profits from sales of this live release went to fund the Kokua Hawaii Foundation and the Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation to support environmental, art, and music education around the world.

The Latin pop and rock en español fields are full of talented artists who would probably be huge in the English-language market if they didn't sing in Spanish exclusively. Some non-Spanish-speaking listeners don't mind listening to lyrics they don't understand – the beat and the melody are enough for them – but many others insist on understanding every word that is coming out of an artist's mouth. Thus, Latin stars usually don't cross over to English-speaking audiences until they start singing in English, which is what Shakira does on 2001's Laundry Service.
