Chart-topping Matt Bianco is back with album #17 “Masquerader”. Front-man Mark Reilly’s smooth vocals set the tone, the beats blend organic Lounge and Club sounds with the Caribbean and South America. Matt Bianco, the chart-topping group that ignited the British Jazz-Pop fires in the 1980s with Top 10-hits like “Yeh Yeh”, “Get Out Of Your Lazy Bed”, or Half A Minute”, is back with their seventeenth album. “Masquerader” dives deep into the band’s roots of Latin, jazz, and pop — with a fresh intent and a modern production edge on singles like Latin-Club-track “Playing With Dynamite”, the restless “Wanderlust”, Samba-soulful “Deep Space” and the dancehall tango-inspired groove of the title track. Front-gentleman Mark Reilly’s smooth vocals set the tone, while the beats blend influences from across the Caribbean and South America with organic Lounge and Club sounds. The album features a lineup of stellar talent, a.o. Brazilian guitar virtuoso, and Verve-recording artist Ricardo Silveira, as well as Venezuelan singer Lino G Rocha bring authentic Latin flair, while London’s vocal Soul-Queen Betty Black (Keb Darge, Snowboy, Bluey) and renowned saxophonist Dave O’Higgins contribute their own distinctive styles. Reilly wrapped up the production and mixing in his own home studio, ensuring every track resonates with the unmistakable Matt Bianco sound — now reimagined for a new era.
