Waylon Jennings If any one performer personified the outlaw country movement of the '70s, it was Waylon Jennings. Though he had been a professional musician since the late '50s, it wasn't until the '70s that Waylon, with his imposing baritone and stripped-down, updated honky tonk, became a superstar. Jennings rejected the conventions of Nashville, refusing to record with the industry's legions of studio musicians and insisting that his music never resemble the string-laden, pop-inflected sounds that were coming out of Nashville in the '60s and '70s.

The Lao Tizer Band returns with AMPLIFY, their explosive new album! The project was recorded and filmed LIVE at Hollywood's legendary EastWest Studios, with an all-star cast led by keyboardist, composer and producer Lao Tizer. The record includes 5 sizzling vocal tracks featuring platinum-selling American Idol star Elliott Yamin, plus 4 adventurous instrumentals penned by Tizer. The Portuguese school of Renaissance composers is only just beginning to be explored. It came to maturity relatively slowly, and when it finally did, in the first half of the seventeenth century, much of the rest of Europe had moved on to a new musical world. Only countries on the edge of the continent – especially England, Poland and Portugal – continued as late as 1650 to give employment to composers who found creative possibilities in unaccompanied choral music. Even so, very few of these composers remained completely untouched by the experiments of Monteverdi and the new Italian Baroque school, so that their music became a fascinating hybrid, looking forward and back, often unexpectedly introducing twists and turns to what otherwise might be taken for pure ‘Palestrina’.

The Academy of St Martin in the Fields was founded in 1959 by Sir Neville Marriner and a group of London’s leading orchestral players. Originally formed as a small conductorless string group, it spearheaded the 1950’s Baroque revival.

MAGNIFICENT BROADCAST FROM THE CURE’S FIRST EUROPEAN TOUR • Formed in Crawley, West Sussex, in 1978, from the ashes of their forerunner Easy Cure, by Robert Smith, Michael Dempsey and Lol Tolhurst, the Cure’s debut album, Three Imaginary Boys was issued in May 1979. It was this along with several early singles that placed the band in the post-punk movement which had sprung up in the United Kingdom that same year. An early demo-tape found its way to Polydor Records scout Chris Parry, who signed the Cure to his newly-formed Fiction label - distributed by Polydor - in September 1978. ‘Killing An Arab’ the Cure’s first single came out in December ’78. • 1979 found the band touring the UK frantically, and they put in the odd European festival date during the summer months too. On December 10th The Cure travelled across to continental Europe to play their first show there in Utrecht that night, followed by a gig in Eindhoven on the 11th. • The following evening, they took the stage at Amsterdam’s magnificent Melkweg venue for a concert that remains a firm favourite among fans. Recorded for live FM radio broadcast across the Netherlands, the show has nevertheless never been issued on CD previously. That all changes however with this new release which captures the entire set the band played that cold winter evening more than 40 years ago

The set charts the history of the band, with Paul Jones on vocals from 1963 to 1966 and then with Mike d'Abo. These albums contain all the band's hits including the three UK Number Ones: Do Wah Diddy Diddy, Pretty Flamingo and Mighty Quinn. The booklet contains extensive sleeve notes and rarely seen photographs. The album is being released under the "Artist Approved" banner, signifying that this release is issued with the full approval of the featured artists.

Famous Groupies, who have been talked about as super high-level Paul McCartney followers, will release their new album in 2024 and will be their last! This album, announced as "the last album", was written by the late great-grandfather of the McKenzie family, Patrick McKenzie, and most of the songs were written in the early 1970s, most likely between 1969 and 1977.

Alicate was formed in the late eighties by lead vocalist/guitarist Jonas Erixon and bass player Fredrik Ekberg. They released a 7” single called “The End/Too Shy To Take It” which is a collector's piece today. They toured in Sweden and Finland and also supported Ian Gillan on his "Toolbox Tour" in 1992. During the mid-nineties the band was put on neice. Fast forward to 2006, where the Alicate reformed and started to work on new material that resulted in their first full length album called “World Of Anger” (released in 2009). The same year they did a successful appearance at Sweden rock festival.

Dejan Lazic has been making recordings since 1990, but this is his first live album. Recorded at the Menuhin Festival in Gstaad in August 2022. Dejan says of the live recording "certain artistic freedoms which come from the fact that this creative process is unrepeatable are equally unparalleled, one literally senses the immediate response from the audience so one acts and reacts upon that. Because if the intimacy and sheer uniqueness of a piano recital as such, no matter how large the venue is, there also comes into play a different sort of spontaneity, risk taking, and creativity." Viennese Rhapsody features composers who all had very close links with the city, though only Schubert was born there. The span from the 18th to the 20th century embraces works that have both rhapsodic and fantasy-like elements. Dejan features not only as pianist on this album, but as arranger and composer too.

Italian pianist Vanessa Benelli Mosell began taking piano lessons at age 3, and at 7 she was enrolled in the International Piano Academy in Imola, where she studied with Franco Scala. In 2007, she moved to London to study at the Royal College of Music and worked with Dmitri Alexeev. She graduated in 2012. Benelli Mosell won the Elba Festival Prize and the first award of the Pietrasanta International Dance and Visual Arts Festival. She has toured China, North America, and South America, and performed in the Netherlands, Germany, Ireland, England, Israel, Russia, and Turkey. She has been a soloist with the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Symphony Orchestra, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, and the Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Bologna. She became a member of the Moscow Soloists in 2012, replacing Martha Argerich. Benelli Mosell was mentored by Karlheinz Stockhausen, and she gave a marathon performance of his works, as well as recording Klavierstück XII. Her repertoire also includes standard Romantic and modern works, and she has recorded music by Chopin, Liszt, Scriabin, Mussorgsky, Debussy, Stravinsky, Rachmaninov, and Glass. She records for Decca, and is a Steinway Artist.

Bruce Springsteen once said he intended to make an album with words like Bob Dylan that sounded like Phil Spector where he sang like Roy Orbison, a nifty summary of many, but not all, of his artistic ambitions and a key to his appeal. Unlike any other singer/songwriters saddled with the appellation of "the new Dylan" in the early '70s, Springsteen never hid how he was raised on '60s AM radio.
