Angels Egg is the fourth studio album by the progressive rock band Gong, released on Virgin Records in December 1973. Angels Egg is the second in Gong's Radio Gnome Invisible trilogy of albums, following Flying Teapot and preceding You. The trilogy forms a central part of the Gong mythology. The original album did not have an apostrophe in the title. The CD version released by Virgin Records, and later reissued on Charly Records contains an extra track: "Ooby-Scooby Doomsday or The D-day DJ's Got the D.D.T. Blues", that ends with a male voice choir glissando (questionably regarded by some as a parody on Pink Floyd's "Echoes"), starting with "Ahhhh" and ending with "Chooo", mimicking a sneeze. The track was originally released on the Live Etc. album but was excluded from the CD release (which reissued that double album as one disc), and included on this album instead.

Five years Trail Records - that means 'Five Years In Space 2007 - 2012' - here we have a sampler which passes through all those albums which this exceptional New York City based label has released so far. So this is something like a best-of collection, sending us on a journey entering psychedelic, ethno/oriental, trippy and spacey fields from all over the place. Due to the fact that Alexander Tsalikhin and Vlad Milyavsky are continously searching for talented artists around the globe.

From the futuristic, synth-laden opener of ‘Our Lives Can’t Last Forever’ and innovative psychedelic swirl of ‘The Starship (One Love One Life)’ and ‘Traveller of Time & Space’, to the lamenting saxophones and menacing riffs of ‘What Are We Going To Do While We’re Here’ and ‘Stargazers’, the band deliver 13 tracks of classic material. The album has everything Hawkwind fans new and old could ask for – from Dave Brock’s trademark vocals and chugging guitar riffs to roaming solos, gradual melancholic crescendos and rapturous peaks, it’s a record that sits tightly in the Hawkwind groove, delivering an intense concentrated fusion of musical styles.

Recorded on a shoestring budget, UFO has several challenging sonic moments. The uneven mixes and amateur performances that some listeners might find quaint or innocent could be distracting to others. In their pre-Michael Schenker days, the British band made a much more experimental noise that reflected psychedelic as well as R&B influences pitched with a dark resonance. This swirling mish-mosh barely suggests the early British metal of the group's commercial pinnacle that was still years off when they released their eponymous debut. Blue Cheer, early Black Sabbath, and maybe a little bit of the Who (mostly derived via bassist Pete Way's meandering, over-saturated basslines) all come to mind on standouts like "Boogie," "C'mon Everybody," and "Follow You Home."

First released in October 1975, the album was a conceptual work about the concerns of the impact of pollution and environmental damage to the earth and was recorded at the Chateau d’Herouville in France and at AIR Studios in London with sessions engineered by Geoff Emerick. The album was also significant for the guest appearance of synthesiser player Larry Fast (of Synergy, who was later to work with Peter Gabriel). ‘Recycled’ became another hit in Germany and the USA and spawned a long US and Canadian tour. The message of the album is arguably more pertinent than it was at the time of its original release and remains one of Nektar’s most highly regarded works. This new 5CD edition features a newly remastered version of the album along with two rare single edits, a discarded early mix of the album by Geoff Emerick and an additional three CDs of live recordings from concerts at Massey Hall, Toronto and Calderone Concert Hall in Long Island on the band’s 1976 Recycled tour. The set also features an illustrated book and is a fine celebration of a progressive rock classic.

Listening today to the music produced by Sensations' Fix, a project founded and directed by Franco Falsini in '70s, can't just leave anyone indifferent. Already in the mid-'60s, Falsini was full-time involved in musical activities: a tireless traveler and experimenter, an artist with uncommon curiosity and intuition, after having lived for some time in the United States and England, he finally established again in Italy where he gave shape to Sensations' Fix and signed a contract with Polydor for the release of six records in five years. Often associated with the sound of Kosmische legends Tangerine Dream and Popol Vuh, Sensations' Fix were much more than mere clones of something already existing…

Once again, MONKEY3 will drench album listeners and audiences, into their unique, cosmic smoke. Formed in early 2003 in Astrakhan (Southern Russia), Vespero went through numerous personnel changes, produced quite a few low budget recordings, and turned into a mainstay of local scene before releasing their official debut album in 2007. They spend most of the time diligently honing their musical craft and inventing their own fantasy world somewhere near the crossroads of psychedelic, space rock, progressive rock, kraut-rock, avant-garde poetry and live theatrical performance. "With each new release the Russian band Vespero further reinforce my feeling that they are one of the best instrumental bands on the contemporary space rock/psychedelic scene…"

2024 release from the legendary indie-rock band Grandaddy. A prolific storyteller, Jason Lytle is inspired by the overwhelming beauty of nature to the mundane moments that spark life's strongest memories. With the album title Blu Wav meant to be a literal mash-up of "bluegrass" and "new wave", the new collection has a distinct feel, a uniform vibe, and a somewhat unexpected sound. It was conceived as Grandaddy maestro Jason Lytle was driving through the Nevada desert, and Patti Page's 'Tennessee Waltz' came across the classic country station on the radio. He was immediately intrigued by the possibilities of what it might sound like to keep the slow sway and sweet, simple lyrics of the bluegrass waltz while adding layers of dense synthesizers and the electronics of new wave. It incorporates the lo-fi lushness and sometimes-psychedelic orchestration Grandaddy is known for with Lytle's first foray into true country. Seven of it's 13 songs are waltzes, and as Lytle notes, "there's an inordinate amount of pedal steel."
