An obscure footnote of early-'70s British art rock, Khan featured guitarist Steve Hillage, keyboardist Dave Stewart, and ex-Crazy World of Arthur Brown bassist Nick Greenwood. Their sole album from 1972 was dominated by Hillage's lengthy, ambitious compositions and Stewart's organ, which owed much to the Canterbury Scene of British prog rock. The group didn't offer much to distinguish themselves from the many other British outfits exploring similar territory, and disbanded after one LP. Hillage went on to join Kevin Ayers and Gong before establishing a solo career; Stewart played with Hatfield & the North and National Health.

Talk to any connoisseur of '70s-era double live albums, and many will agree that Steve Hillage's Live Herald, recorded and released in 1977-1978, rates among the finest jewels that the genre has to offer. So it's astonishing to discover that someone has spent the last 25 years sitting on tapes that knock that set into the dust, both in terms of on-stage excitement and aural enjoyment. Live at Deeply Vale Festival '78 transports the listener back to one of the last truly great festivals staged in the U.K. that decade, a weekend's worth of music that fearlessly ranged across both the traditional rock range and the upcoming punk movement, before climaxing with a Hillage set that the guitarist himself reflects, "[sounds] as exciting now as Live Herald was back then."

Spanning nearly an hour across 12 deeply immersive compositions, this high-fidelity archive captures the band fully channeling the grand, outer-space architectural majesty of classic Krautrock, vintage Pink Floyd, and modern heavy space-prog movements. Navigating the ensemble's rich sonic tapestry are keyboard visionary Guido Consoli, guitarist/vocalist Federico Benitez, bassist/vocalist Damián Benítez, and powerful engine drummer Sebastián Abt. The tracklist is an absolute masterclass in avant-garde instrumental design and literary-inspired dreamscapes—deeply nodding to Julio Cortázar's surrealist lore—highlighted by the driving opening surge of Axolote, the shifting sonic textures of Sinestesia and Djins, and the massive, two-part epic centerpiece suite Oneironautas. Exceptionally preserved in pristine dual-format lossless and high-bitrate audio, this rare South American independent document stands as an absolute mandatory cornerstone and a prized collector's holy grail for global purists of modern progressive space rock evolution and elite underground psychedelic history.

Voyage 34, originally a two-volume EP series from 1992-1993, was expanded into "The Complete Trip" after Steven Wilson remixed and added production for its eventual re-release seven years later. Album story is based on a LSD-trip experienced by a guy named Bryan. There are several parts on the album which are familiar with some classic prog material out of the 70's. Once you have a effect of the epic piece A Plague of Lighthouse Keepers by Van Der Graaf Generator and for most part from Pink Floyd a famous guitar rhythm from The Wall, which continues throughout "Voyage 34 - The Complete Trip". These ideas may be stolen from these legendary bands, but they fit incredibly well to the trippy atmosphere of this psychedelic rock concept. Another note is, that this album is completely instrumental, beside the effects and the speaking of the story-guiding teller…

This Älgarnas Trädgård album (their only studio recording until the newly discovered Delayed) has been one of the pinnacles of underground psychedelic rock - comparable to early Pink Floyd and other masters of freak-out excellence. Recorded in 1971, this CD issue adds a couple of bonus live tracks from 1972. The Elks utilized violins, rebec, cello, guitars, sitar, piano, zither, organ flutes, zinks, Jew's harps, tablas, percussion, Moog synthesizer, and VC-3 Putney synthesizers in their musical panoply. Though they used them in a way that had little to do with rock, it came out as psychedelic rock just the same. They put together combinations of instruments with influences ranging from Floyd to Bach to Terry Riley, the Third Ear Band, King Crimson, and Olivier Messiaen, just to name a few. They listened closely to one another and employed every effect they could get their hands on, finally resorting to drinking tea with sound effects…
