Ronnie Foster cut plenty of sweet fusion sides for Columbia Records at the start of the 80s – but this set's from the second half of the decade, and was initially an album that was only issued for the Japanese market! Foster arranged the whole record himself, and works with a nice lean lineup that includes Phil Upchurch on guitar, Harvey Mason and Ndugu on drums, and Paulinho Da Costa on additional percussion – all in a groove that's kind of a mid 80s update of Foster's earlier mode, still delivered with just the right sense of space and soul! Titles include "Ipanema Walk", "Festival Do Brasil", "Squirt", "Night Life", "Europe", and "The Racer".

Here for It All is the upcoming sixteenth studio album by American singer-songwriter Mariah Carey. The album is set to be released on September 26, 2025, through her own imprint Mariah, and media company Gamma. Its first single "Type Dangerous", was released on June 5, 2025, followed by "Sugar Sweet" on July 25.

Kate Bush releases Best of The Other Sides on Fish People. The release is due to demand from those unable to access the original release of The Other Sides, which was part of the 2018 remastered box sets featuring B sides and extra tracks that had never appeared on an album. ‘The Other Sides’ is no longer available. 3 of the tracks on Best of The Other Sides have been remastered. The release comes at a time when Kate’s song ‘Army Dreamers’ is skyrocketing online, looking set to become her second most streamed track after ‘Running Up That Hill’. Perhaps the popularity of ‘Army Dreamers’ right now is a reflection of the current conflicts around the world, a theme Kate has recently returned to with her award-winning anti -war short film ‘Little Shrew’ - winner of Best Animation at the New York Animation Festival.

Novembers Doom make a triumphant return with their twelfth album "Major Arcana". Six long years after their acclaimed album "Nephilim Grove" (2019), the American dark metallers have raised their musical bar even higher and created a coherent concept album inspired by tarot cards and fortune-telling. This theme is reflected in the artwork and design of "Major Arcana" as well as in the album's lyrics. Founded in 1989 in Chicago, Illinois, by singer Paul Kuhr, the band has continued to evolve over more than three decades. With their debut album "Amid Its Hallowed Mirth" in early 1995, Novembers Doom positioned themselves as one of the leading representatives of American death doom with their dark musical direction.

AOR with a great portion of Westcoast recorded perfectly by musical extra class like e.g. Geir Rönning (v), Stan Bush (v), Peter Sundell (v), Bruce Gaitsch (g), Lars Chriss (g) or Marcel Jacob (b) to mention just a few.

One of the initial works in the ambient house canon, Chill Out is the practically beatless soundtrack to a late-night journey along the Gulf Coast, and the track titles tell much of the story: "Six Hours to Louisiana, Black Coffee Going Cold," "3AM Somewhere Out of Beaumont," "Elvis on the Radio, Steel Guitar in My Soul." Recorded live by Drummond and Cauty (with much unintended help from sample victims Elvis Presley, Fleetwood Mac, and the throat singers of Tüva), Chill Out consists largely of fragmented, heavily reverbed steel guitar, environmental sounds (birds, trains), occasional synth, and an angelic vocal chorus repeating the KLF's own "Justified and Ancient" theme. Throughout, Drummond and Cauty display an instinctive talent for wallpaper music that's truly diverting, making Chill Out one of the essential ambient albums.

Although having performed and recorded with many of the top mainstream jazz artists of his time, Osie Johnson rarely went into the recording studio as a leader. Original Jazz Classics has reissued two sessions Johnson made for the Period label in February of 1955 while with the Count Basie Orchestra. Many of his sidemen are from the same Basie aggregation. Thad Jones and Frank Wess, the latter on both tenor and flute, were used to being in the spotlight, and their talents are fully utilized throughout this session. But there are solo opportunities for Basie players who rarely got a chance to show their wares while with the Count.
