De/Vision is a German synthpop musical group. The band started as a quartet consisting of Thomas Adam, Steffen Keth, Stefan Blender, and Markus Ganssert. They formed the band in 1988. The name De/Vision is a play on words. The majority of the band's lyrics are in English, but they have had some songs in German. Markus left the band in 2000. In the same year Steffen started a side project as the vocalists with Green Court, called 'Green Court featuring De/Vision'. The band with remaining members Thomas Adam and Steffen Keth were then signed to Drakkar Records and Sony BMG in Europe, and Dancing Ferret Discs in North America. The band is currently signed to Metropolis Records in North America. Since 1994 the band has released a new studio album of original material roughly every 1.5 years, until their latest album Rockets and Swords.

2010 live archive release featuring newly-discovered 'live' recordings from 1972 by one of the finest British Jazz-Rock groups of the 1970's. If starred tenor sax men Dick Morrissey and Dave Quincy with lead guitarist Terry Smith, and they all play at their best on these sparkling in-concert performances. Although the British band released a succession of excellent studio albums, there is no doubt that these 'live' recordings from Europe have the edge. You can hear the audience shouting encouragement and the horn solos are delivered with extra punch as the tunes take on new life. Vocalist 'J.W' Hodkinson interprets the lyrics with great spirit and shows why If were so popular among Rock as well as Jazz fans.

Movin' is the second studio album by American singer Jennifer Rush. Originally released in Germany in late 1985, just as Rush was experiencing worldwide success with "The Power of Love" from her previous album, Movin' became an instant hit there. The album reached No.1 for 14 weeks and went on to be the biggest selling album of 1986. Despite high sales for her previous album, Rush found it harder to follow up in the UK, where the album (released in 1986) only managed to reach No.32, mainly due to the lack of a hit single.

Recognized worldwide as "The First Lady of Song," Ella Fitzgerald is arguably the finest female jazz vocalist of all time. Blessed with a highly resonant voice, wide range, and near-perfect elocution, Fitzgerald also possessed a deft sense of swing, and with her brilliant scat technique, could hold her own against any of her instrumental contemporaries. She came to initial popularity as a member of drummer Chick Webb's band in the 1930s, scoring a hit with a "A-Tisket, A-Tasket," before ascending to wide acclaim in the 1940s with Jazz at the Philharmonic and Dizzy Gillespie's Big Band, and issuing landmark performances like "Flying Home" and "How High the Moon."

May 2022; long on the C.P. radar/wishlist (all but inaccessible until very recently) has been the replication-production of the original 1962/1971 LP/10" editions of storied German-American Electronic & Computer Music pioneer Herbert Brün's semi-Instructional releases, "Klänge Unterwegs Und Anepigraphe" (1961) & "Über Musik Und Zum Computer" (1971). Fate (and sympathy) have wrested their kind hands and copies of both were semi-permanently loaned to the C.P. P.T.B. with the express interest in seeing their contents reprised and disseminated in the now-familiar spec, and I'm glad to present this late-stage Creel Pone presenting Brün's work across the first three decades of his Compositional career, as it was originally issued during the vinyl era.

All tracks remastered from the original master tapes Alessandro Alessandroni is no longer remembered simply as 'the whistler' in Morricone's spaghetti western soundtracks – and rightly so, since he was the key figure behind much of Italian 'secret music' from the 60s and 70s, always there in the studio during recording sessions, whether as a multi-instrumentalist or as the leader of session vocal group I Cantori Moderni di Alessandroni. Today his pervasive presence and important role has been finally recognized by music professionals and enthusiasts alike, so much so that he is now considered the true father of Italian library music – a genre whose sound he shaped since 1968.

Reflections Review by Carol Wright
When you don't tire of an album after hundreds of listenings, you can crown it a "classic." Laura Allan plays zither and sings melodies of eternal inspiration and exquisite depth. A few refrains have lyrics, and they are pure poetry. "My heart is grateful–just to be, and nothing more. I am the joy, and the sorrow. The tear, the death, and blessed bird. As I am today, I am tomorrow: a child of God, flying out to love on this earth…." Though you'll probably remember only Allan's zither and angelic voice, other notables contribute to the magic: Paul Horn on swirls of flutes, Dallas Smith on Lyricon wind synthesizer, Geoffrey Chandler on synthesizer, and Kent Middleton on bells. Everything about this album seems to have been "Special Delivery" from Heaven; even the faint auto sounds in the background are totally forgiven, even embraced. Even if this album is available only on cassette tape, get it. It is available on tape only through Steven Halpern's Inner Peace Music.

The album was never available for sale publicly. Two versions of the album were created - a 9-track version, and a numbered 13-track version (rarer).

Karajan reportedly felt so strongly about his recordings of the Second Viennese School that he agreed to finance them himself when DG balked at picking up the tab. These are great performances, to be sure. Indeed, there may be some others that are comparable, but none are superior. The Berg pieces never have sounded so decadently beautiful, nor the Webern so passionately intense, or the Schoenberg so, well, just plain listenable. The Berlin Philharmonic strings make their usual luscious sounds, but here the winds, brass, and even percussion rise to the occasion as well. And sonically these were always some of Karajan’s best efforts. Essential, then, and a perfect way to get to know these three composers on a single disc.

Charles Mackerras doesn’t put a foot wrong anywhere. The “Military” Symphony features sprightly tempos in its outer movements, with percussion that’s exciting but never vulgar in the famous Allegretto. In addition to one of the best-ever accounts of its slow movement, the “Drumroll” offers Haydn’s original thoughts on the finale, with its surprising modulations in the closing pages. Fabulous playing, informative booklet notes, and superb sound cap a release that deserves far more acclaim that it has received to date. There’s no point in enumerating the disc’s virtues any further: listen and enjoy them for yourself. You can do “different”, but you can’t do better.

Real Gone Music and Second Disc Records continue their ongoing celebration of Johnny Mathis’ legendary catalog with a new expanded two-for-one CD and this one’s even more packed with signature Mathis songs than usual! 1976’s "I Only Have Eyes for You" and 1977’s "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me" both reunited Mathis with a pair of his favorite collaborators, producer Jack Gold and arranger Gene Page, for silky renditions of the day’s pop smashes as only Mathis could deliver them. Page brought the same style of lush orchestration he perfected with Barry White to these sets featuring songs by the top songwriters of the day including Neil Sedaka (“The Hungry Years”), Alan O’Day (“Do Me Wrong, But Do Me”), Stephen Sondheim (“Send in the Clowns”), Marvin Hamlisch (“One”), and the team of Michael Masserand Gerry Goffin (“Do You Know Where You’re Going To,” “I Always Knew I Had It in Me”).
