    Eagle-Eye Cherry, the singer of the hit "Save Tonight" (which has easily surpassed half a billion streams), returns with his seventh studio album, "Become A Light." With this album, he reconnects with the energy of rock and post-punk from his childhood, drawing on memories of his teenage years in New York City - where he even lived next door to the members of Talking Heads. "Become A Light" was produced in two parts.     Definitive 5CD anthology of highly regarded late 60s British rock band. Includes their sole album and single, alternative versions, out-takes, previously unissued demos, a Radio 1 session and tracks from related bands. Andromeda were formed in mid-1968 by guitarist, vocalist and chief songwriter John Cann after the gradual collapse of his previous band, mod/psych legends The Attack. A John Peel session saw the trio briefly come under the DJ's wing before they signed to RCA. Released in late 1969, their self-titled album attracted highly positive reviews, and is now regarded by many collectors as a definitive example of the nascent British hard rock sound. But it failed to sell, and Andromeda imploded when Cann jumped ship to join Atomic Rooster, where he wrote and sang Top Five single 'Devil's Answer'.

    Shatter Me is the second studio album by American violinist and solo artist Lindsey Stirling. It is Stirling's first album to include collaborations with other vocalists, featuring Lzzy Hale and Dia Frampton, and Stirling has said its musical style is more progressive than her first album. The album was released on iTunes on April 25, 2014, in most of the world, on April 29, 2014, in the United States, and on May 2 in Germany. The first single, "Beyond the Veil", was released on March 24, peaking at number 22 on Billboard Dance and Electronic Digital Songs. The video was posted the following day. The second single, "Shatter Me", was released on April 23, accumulating 1.3 million views after one day on YouTube.

    The begena is a large ten-stringed lyre which is part of the traditional Amharic heritage of Ethiopia. The Amharas, who have long formed the politically and culturally dominant people of Ethiopia, mainly inhabit the central and northern part of the country. In the majority, they follow the monophysite Orthodox Tewahido Church established in the early fourth century AD. Music plays a very important part in the life of the church. Most of the liturgy is sung and, contrary to secular music, it is accompanied by percussion instruments only. The begena occupies a special place because it is the one melodic instrument exclusively dedicated to the spiritual repertory. Because of its mythical origin, it is highly respected. Tradition holds that the begena was given to king David by God, and brought to Ethiopia by Menelik I, together with the Ark of the Covenant. It has always been the instrument of kings and nobles. Played by pious men and women of letters, it never became widespread. But it never disappeared either, not even under the Derg regime (1974-1991) which had banned the instrument.

    The opening pair of songs on Swedish musicians and composer Sven Wunder's fifth full-length album—"Setting Off" and "Misty Shore"—work in tandem to build from flute-led ambience to fully realized, bass-driven grooves to create a powerful representation of a sunrise. It's not often a record perfectly captures one of nature's most beautiful moments, much less leaves listeners in awe in the process. Daybreak accomplishes that in its first five minutes. Daybreak represents a day in the life of the sun. The title track continues the morning fulfillment with a breezing, sweeping string procession backed by simple yet momentous guitar and flute riffs and an up-front bassline that borders on funk. It's a mug of coffee at a chilly campsite or a dive into a deep, refreshing pool for a top-of-the-day workout. The flute, deftly played by Per "Texas" Johansson, has a more important role on Daybreak than on any of Wunder's earlier records. Fittingly, too, because the instrument provides balance as the music transitions from morning to midday on "Still Moorings" and for the terrific sway of "Scenic Byway."
