Splash was a jazz rock group from Söderhamn which was active from 1969 until 1979, whose roots began in the early 60's where several band members met as a part of a pop group Why. By the year 1973 the group has released its first album (similar to brass rock of the likes of Chicago) and stabilized the line-up which lasted up to the end of 70's where Splash evolved their sound over longer and more instrumental compositions which bore more similarities with fusion influenced by folk music.
The "Splash 1970-1979 - Samtliga Inspelgingar" was released in 2018, re-releasing the entire Splash catalogue with lots of bonus material.

Govinda start their activities in 1994, when original members of Keshava (Satya Mana, Pandit Ananda and Yasodanandana), that had some of their new age tracks released on Klaus Schulze label Innovative Сommunication” decided to change. Everything started when the three Keshava members met DJ Om, who was quite well known in the Los Angeles area, Balearic Islands and Barcelona, so they decided to start a new project, Govinda, along with the support of Indian and Sri Lankan singers, plus the singer/dancer "Chandra". The title's a bit of a ringer here; this is actually what Telarc considers the best tracks Wells recorded for their label between 1993 and 1997 - music taken from his last four albums before his untimely death in early 1998. Wells won a fair amount of trophies with this quartet of albums, and while the material isn't anything that's going to make hardline fans want to toss out their copies of Hoodoo Man Blues, the music and production are exemplary on every track. During the first half of the 19th century, when a new successful Opera was released, publishers promptly promoted transcriptions and paraphrases to spread catchy themes to the public. Thus, famous Opera Arias were adapted into salon pieces for various solo instruments or small chamber ensembles, often featuring the Harp and Flute. At the same time, an original repertoire was also developed for these two instruments: compositions not directly related to theatrical works but nevertheless influenced by the contemporary operatic style. This type of chamber music responded to the bourgeois taste of the time, which saw the flourishing of domestic ensembles and amateur virtuosos eager to perform elegant and brilliant music – such as Mozart’s famous Concerto for Harp and Flute K299, commissioned years earlier by the Duke of Guines, Adrien-Louis de Bounières (1735-1806), flutist, and his daughter, harpist and pupil of the composer. The Harp and Flute duo, as evidenced by the pieces presented on this disc, was particularly appreciated for its timbric contrast and for its ability to evoke atmospheres that were both pastoral and brilliant.
