Yours truly got to know French dub master Romain Weeding aka Weeding Dub back in 2015 thanks to 'Still Looking For'. Counting no less than 20 tracks, divided into 11 vocal cuts and 9 dubs, successor 'Another Night Another Day' is released as a double album. Weeding Dub immediately gets cracking with 'Another Night Another Day', a solid instrumental and the title track of the album. For 'Make Dem Know' the French producer collaborated with sweet-voiced Dixie Peach, best known as MC for London's Jah Tubbys World System, for the first time. Other vocal guests on 'Another Day Another Night' are Oulda, like Romain based in Lille and appearing both in 'Rise Up' and 'Big Men Of This World', the otherwise unknown Little R who delivers the irresistible 'Skankertainer', Shanti D, MC for O.B.F. Sound System, and finally, the charming Dutch-Cape Verdean Nish Wadada. With 'Let Go!' the latter also signs for one of our absolute favorites on the album. The futuristic industrial stepper 'Dub Soldier Forever & More' and the up-tempo 'Can't understand', featuring the aforementioned Shanti D on vocals, weren't really our cup of dub, but cinematic closing track 'Afuryca' is another absolute gem. French grand cru for lovers of the better dub and UK steppers!
