Ricardo Tarducci leading his band of Rio de la Plata offers in this analog production of 1976, a repertoire of 12 songs originally orchestrated under the heading of tangos, while most of the arrangements do not fit under that musical rhythm.
Except in five tracks performed as tangos (1 and 3 to 6) Tarducci leave that style in the rest to provide orchestrations more in keeping with the musical style of 60's and 70's. This way Tarducci first gives us a careful slow waltz, "Fascination", or a version of 'Jealousy' moving from bolero to beguine. Then he moves to give prominence to the acoustic guitar, as in "Perfidia", or to latin rhythms as samba for classic tangos ('A media luz', 'Caminito', etc.).. Yes, there are famous tangos, but in the view of Tarducci.
