This album is a reissue of the original released in 1977 by the Brazilian singer Astrud Gilberto (Bahia, 1940). This CD, produced by Carl E. Jefferson and Tito himself, was recorded in May 1985 in California and in 1986 won the Grammy award for 'Best Traditional Tropical Latin Album'. It is pure Latin jazz. Music played by The Magic Orchestra which is a sequel of the work that the composer, arranger and director Gian Piero Reverberi Italian (Genoa, 1939) developed with the musical group founded in 1979, the 'Rondo Veneziano'. Album by French accordionist, arranger and director Joseph Basile (Somain, 1926-1982), another of the important accordionists who has given the French school. It was not until the 50s when Basile launched his career by traveling to America to accompany the French singer Patachou. He recorded over 30 albums and sold over 4 million copies. He also co-founded the French Academy Accordion and was teacher there. This CD released in 2005 is a reissue of the original released in 1961 and it is exclusively dedicated to Brazilian music.
