The music of French and particularly Parisian themed served pianist, composer, arranger and conductor Solomon Schwartz (London, 1913-2002), aka 'Stanley Black' in 1957 to record this album away from his usual Latin style. A repertoire of twelve songs allows both his piano and other instrumental elements of his orchestra (could miss the accordion?) offer a repertoire of unforgettable melodies with his unique style and interpretive arrangements.

This album is a reissue of the original released in 1977 by the Brazilian singer Astrud Gilberto (Bahia, 1940). In the 70's Astrud was dedicated to satisfy her creative and commercial sense, not only interpretive, and performed various topics midway of Brazilian music, pop and jazz. Among them, 'Far away', which features the voice and trumpet of Chet Baker. Overall in this recording Astrud again feel comfortable with her pop-bossa sound.

This group achieved a huge success with 20 million copies sold in Europe based on a musical style of baroque influence (based on Vivaldi, Albinoni, Boccherini, etc.) structured as light music, limiting the link to the music of 18th century to the orchestral sonority, but particularly channeled to pop and rock music.

Compilation of eighteen songs performed by the German clarinetist and conductor Hugo Strasser (Munich, 1922). The first thirteen tracks recovered a varied repertoire of dances popular in the mid 60s, with rhythms such as twist, shake, hully gully, swim, limbo, bossanova, bostella or surf among others. Only the final five tracks collected danceable rhythms considered standard in ballroom dancing, as rumba, bolero, cha cha, quickstep or foxtrott.

Work of the American composer and conductor Carl Davis (New York, 1936) leading the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and featuring 'The Wihan Quartet'. The first CD features a compilation work of the various passages of some of the movies of Chaplin with music composed by himself. Most of the fourteen topics include medleys of several of the outstanding compositions of Chaplin's films. The second CD offers another work produced by Carl Davis focused on the twelve magnificent short films that Chaplin created in 1916-17 for the 'Mutual Film Company'.

Music of Spanish composer Joaquín Turina (1882-1949) is interpreted on this CD by the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra (Bavarian State Philharmonic created in 1946) directed by French musician of Portuguese ancestry Antonio de Almeida. Turina was a Spanish composer whose essentially moderate number of compositions focused primarily on chamber music and piano. Of the five works originally composed for orchestra only one of them is outside the repertoire of this recording.

Compilation album with some of the most important recordings in career of film actress Norma Jean Mortenson (California, 1926-1962), aka 'Marilyn Monroe'. Certainly his work as a singer was not her main artistic side, but the fact that in many of her movies interpret songs added value to her artistic projection. The repertoire features eighteen melodies presented in films with the last track, containing only the famous greeting of Marilyb to President Kennedy on his birthday party.

Album by French accordionist, arranger and director Joseph Basile (Somain, 1926-1982), another of the important accordionists who has given the French school. It was not until the 50s when Basile launched his career by traveling to America to accompany the French singer Patachou. He recorded over 30 albums and sold over 4 million copies. He also co-founded the French Academy Accordion and was teacher there. This CD released in 2005 is a reissue of the original released in 1961 and it is exclusively dedicated to Brazilian music.
