La Calenda Beat presenta en Montevideo Beatificando, su segundo disco de estudio con el que realizaron su gira por Francia en el pasado año 2017.
Beatificando nace de la búsqueda de un mensaje que la banda quiere compartir a través de la música.Un mensaje universal que invita a conectar con el hoy, expresar la realidad en la qu
e vivimos y aportar desde el candombe, fusionándolo con otras raíces de la música negra
La Calenda Beat nace en el año 2003 con la motivación de difundir el candombe como parte fundamental de la música popular uruguaya.
La formación está compuesta por Líber Galloso (saxo, voz y composición), Diego Paredes (tambor piano y accesorios de percusión), Fernando Núñez (tambor chico y accesorios), Noe Nuñez (tambor repique y batería), Darío Píriz (cantante), Maximiliano Clerici (bajista) y Eduardo Risso (teclados).
A través del sonido se rememora la esencia ancestral de nuestra música, fusionándola con otros elementos de la cultura afro americana como el afro-beat, el jazz, el funk y el hip-hop.
