As one of Kompakt's far-east representatives, Kaito has consistently supplied the label with a lushly ornate take on the sound of Cologne's minimal house and techno scene. Well, we say Cologne, but it's really a worldwide thing now, and Kaito's beautifully naïve melodies over gently pulsing rhythms have been supplying the label with a return influence for the best part of a decade. 'Trust' is his 3rd full length album for the label, melding ambient textures with house and breakbeat rhythms with a special touch of trancey chord progressions that are just too well executed to snigger at. There's just something charmingly endearing about Kaito's work, from the fact it's named after his kid and translates as "the one that is able to explain the universe", to the head massaging softness of it all, meaning you'll be suckered in if you've ever fallen for Ulrich Schnauss or the Orb. Lovely.
