Steve Campbell - Ocean Blue (2016)

Music is a universal language that the world understands. I am blessed to have this opportunity to introduce myself and my music to the world to touch the hearts of many. These releases are only a fraction of many to come and I am excited to share it with you. Jazz musicians I have listened to such as George Duke, and Joe Sample to name a few, I give credit as influencers. All songs were written, performed, and produced by me except "Today," vocal tracks were performed by Alexandria Chanel. There are so many people I would like to thank for the support of this Cd starting with my children Urian Seth and Chlo'e Chanel Campbell you know you are my heart. Special thanks to my friends and advisor Tony Rose, Paris James, and Sonja Campbell, who taught me the value of music, sincere thanks. I would like to thank Roland and Robin Campbell also, Brooklyn and Morrell Frazier, Debra Holden "Give My Love," Roger Dryer, Dawayne Ward, and Ben Taylor, (Universe) who participated in my first recordings. Sam (the original Soul man) and Joyce Moore thank you for your guidance through the years. Aunt Esther Smith Hodges, (my piano teacher), you are forever in my heart, Robert Smith Jr. (uncle June), thanks for "South Town" and Kim Shannon for your love and support. To Geri White, in my youth you taught me about "this business of music" obviously, I was listening. To Verdine White, an electricfying basist, and an entertainer with a genuine personality on stage as well as off. Maintaining approachability is huge! Made me feel right at home. My first concert was Earth, Wind, & Fire "blow my mind!" I knew then, this is what I wanted to do, thank you both. To the late great Maurice White, I regret not meeting him, wow! Now, that would have been a conversation! My Parents, Roland Sr.and Eleanor Campbell who introduced music into my life, what a blessing. Thank you very much!
