Les deux zébulons soniques qui se cachent derrière Shalark ne sont pas tout à fait des inconnus. Ark (alias Guillaume Berroyer) s’est déjà fait remarquer en tant que jeune producteur prodige. Shalom (David Taïeb) est, de son côté, à l’origine de l’excellent album du groupe Mozesli, disque sorti il y a deux ou trois ans et auquel on aimerait aujourd’hui une suite. Ensemble, ces deux aventuriers du son bizarre (accompagnés de Magic Malik, M ou Juan Rozoff) voyagent aux confins d’un funk intergalactique en fils mutants (ou virtuels) de Sly, Sun Ra ou Fishbone. Futuriste.
