Fresh off a bizarre but pleasant experiment in roots pop with legendary producer Phil Spector, the Ramones were somewhat confused. After punk's failure to gain mainstream airplay anyway and the ascendance of keyboard oriented new wave, the Ramones' breakneck tempos and buzzsaw guitar attack seemed somewhat anachronistic to mainstream radio audiences. It is therefore no wonder that Pleasant Dreams sounds angry and somewhat bitter at an industry that couldn't accept the band's particular brand of brilliance.
    Tracklist:

    01. We Want The Airwaves
    02. All's Quiet On The Eastern Front
    03. The KKK Took My Baby Away
    04. Don't Go
    05. You Sound Like You're Sick
    06. It's Not My Place (In The 9 To 5 World)
    07. She's A Sensation
    08. 7-11
    09. You Didn't Mean Anything To Me
    10. Come On Now
    11. This Business Is Killing Me
    12. Sitting In My Room

The cover art of Pleasant Dreams was the first Ramones album cover to not feature an image of the band.
