    New version of the Paco de Lucía Integral, 27 CDs his complete work remastered. "Cositas Buenas", his last album, comes as a new in this new Integral. Now in a new economic format. This collection is a unique tour of the work of Paco de Lucia from 1964 to 2004. Five years after Almoraima, three after his experience with Falla, and his recent flirtations with Corea, McLaughlin, Di Meola and Coryell, this revolutionary album appears which, as Paco Sevilla notes in his book, is a declaration of independence. This is the first album with the participation of The Sextet with whom Paco would go on to mark out a new sound for Flamenco music.

    From his experience with the group Dolores on the previous album dedicated to Falla, followed Jorge Pardo (sax and flute) and Rubem Dantas (percussion), and on the bass he chose the best in the business: Carles Benavent. His brothers, Ramón de Algeciras (guitar) and Pepe de Lucía (vocals, guitar and handclaps) complete this, his first official group. According to Paco the instruments are not important, it is who plays them that counts. Each of the musicians have known how to leave their own stamp on the flamenco aesthetic even so far as the fact that since then the bass, el cajón (box drum), or the flute are played, more or less, in the style of Carles, Rubem, or Jorge.

    Another thing brought to Flamenco by this album was the Peruvian cajón (box drum), picked up by Paco on one of his tours. Rubem added, with his playing of the cajón, a style which is now universally recognised as Flamenco. It is now impossible to imagine bulerías, tangos, or rumbas without the participation of this instrument, which so effectively emphasizes, among other functions, the percussive role of the dance and the guitar. The same thing happened with the sound and style of Carles Benavent, which is now a reference for bass-playing in Flamenco, as is the personal style of Jorge Pardo on the flute or the saxophone. The Sextet marks a new cycle in the work of Paco de Lucía in particular and of Flamenco music in general. All of this highlights new guidelines to follow for the young Flamenco generations. Nothing was the same after Solo Quiero Caminar in 1981.
