    Matthew Margeson is a composer of film, television, and video game music best known for his diverse work in action and adventure films. He got his start as an assistant to composers on video games and film shorts, and as a technical score advisor, arranger, and synth programmer, among other roles for Hans Zimmer's Remote Control Productions. He began earning solo composing credits on films including Lunatics, Lovers & Poets and Burning Palms, both released in 2010. He wrote music for the animated TV series Transformers Prime in 2011 and for video games including Carnival Island in 2012. In the meantime, his work could be heard in blockbusters such as X-Men: First Class and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, for which he provided additional music. He was soon selected to co-write a score with Henry Jackman for the franchise sequel Kick-Ass 2, released in 2013. It incorporated rock elements into a symphonic palette. That was followed by more action films, such as 2014's Kingsman: The Secret Service, also with Jackman. His work in other genres has included the 2016 bio-pic Eddie the Eagle.
