Virtually ignored beyond her native Australia and in America, Marian Henderson has provided folk fans worldwide with a brief, but inspired soundtrack. Her jazz background has also invited profound accolades from numerous musicians, but for all the applause, Henderson s recorded legacy remains sadly short. Her 1970 album Cameo reveals a precious simplicity and depth that deserves far greater recognition than she received during her career.

Alongside valuable interpretations of Sandy Denny s Fotheringay, Leonard Cohen s The Stranger and First Girl I Loved (Incredible String Band) Cameo offers a sublime collection of numerous traditionals that Henderson gives new life to. Stoned Circle very proudly presents the first-ever reissue of Marian Henderson s astounding 1970 album Cameo. Accompanying a fully re-mastered Cameo, we present a collection of her other rare recorded appearances from the 1964 Pix magazine E.P.s and her appearances on The Restless Years and Old Botany Bay.
