Eva Alcaide, in addition to having collaborated with a large number of artists over time and having great live experience, has a remarkable academic record to her credit, consolidating her training at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland by completing a master's degree in Jazz Guitar Performance.Tracklist:
A period in which this project begins to take shape and for which it has counted on four renowned musicians of unquestionable prestige, the common nexus of which we could place it in the academic field at the Musikene Center, a reference on an international scale and a guarantee of excellence In addition to the Madrid guitarist herself, the quintet is made up of the singer Irati Bilbao, leader of the Begin project that has established itself in recent times as a benchmark in vocal jazz. Pianist Jorge Fernández, another renowned and experienced artist, as well as artist of the No-Land Trio project. The line-up is completed by Carlos Montull on bass, who combines his teaching work with countless collaborations with other artists and the versatile drummer Aitor Bravo, a member of Triology, No-Land Trio and Jeronimo Martin's group, among others.
"Dive into the sea" has a brilliant production that dives into sonic depths that taste like today's jazz without bypassing the tradition to drink from many other influences. Full of nuances and colors that are filtered through an excellent collection of compositions written by Eva Alcaide that have as a source of inspiration the sea and the iconography passing through the currents of contemporary music with an imprint and a sonority of their own. There are echoes of Pat Metheny and Ben Monder.
