Following his triumphant comeback special for NBC at the end of 1968, Elvis Presley made a highly-publicized return to live performance in 1969, booking an exclusive engagement at The International Hotel in Las Vegas. Elvis treated audiences to a raucous rock set inspired by the recent sessions for his just-released studio album From Elvis In Memphis, backed by vocal groups The Imperials and The Sweet Inspirations as well as an early version of his famed TCB Band. Live In Las Vegas 1969 showcases this incredible, important phase in Elvis’ career with a previously unreleased set from the first of many engagements at The International Hotel.

Recording and post-processing
New/unplayed double vinyl LP was recorded in WAV format (Sample Rate: 96 kHz, Bit Depth: 24 bits per sample) using VinylStudio V10.0.2 (with Pro-Ject Box ASIO Driver). The four resulting WAV files (side A, B, C and D) were then loaded into ClickRepair 3.9.9 (settings – DeClick: 10, Automatic: All, Method: Wavelet) and again saved as 24bit/96kHz WAV files, which were then loaded into Audacity 2.3.1. Some manual de-clicking was done in Audacity, the beginning and ending of each side were faded in and out, respectively, and the recordings were split into tracks, which were then exported as individual FLAC files (Level: 8, Bit Depth: 24 bit, Sample Rate: 96 kHz). Finally, the 24bit/96kHz FLAC files were converted to 16bit/44.1kHz using SoX 14.4.2 (command line: sox input.flac -G -b 16 output.flac rate -v -L 44100 dither).
