Francisco de Asís Palacios Ortega (Paco to his friends), better known as the "Pali", born May 22, 1928 in the central neighborhood of La Casa de la Moneda de Sevilla and dies in the same city in 1988 Andalusian at age 60.
The nickname seems to be that it is because in his youth was thin as a "stick" nothing to do with the image that is identified in the photographs of his albums since "The Pali" eventually gained weight and had to overcome their myopia with glasses whose lenses were increasing the so-called "bottle-ass." Your fat and glasses gave him that peculiar aspect which remind people of Seville, and who disappeared in 1988 and was buried as said on one of their Sevillanas "With my flag of Spain."
On 4 June 2003, the Gold AA.VV.Torre, Monumental and Historical Center Barrio del Arenal, awarded him as:-Neighbor of Honor posthumously.
In its report on April 30, 2010, journalist and writer Antonio Ortega published her biography to be published by Editions Absalom, entitled - The Last Troubadour
Very young amateur cante flamenco, no luck in this discipline. By contrast, in the 1970 recorded his first album of Seville, where if art became a myth.
The Pali is also known as The Troubadour of Seville, a nickname coined by being central to many of the traditions of the people of Seville where he was born, traditions he knew, and seeing them missing, wanted to gloss over in their letters to bequeath to Seville who knew him and future generations, you will definitely know his voice.

A great lover of his city and its Holy Week. He was a brother of various brotherhoods of Seville and its province, including the most significant being his brotherhood of Baratillo. He died in hospital Virgen Macarena, Seville, June 21, 1988 when he sang with 60 years of age.
With strong support from nearly 15,000 signatures about 300 accessions by writing requested the Town Council, be granted the award for Favorite Son of Seville posthumously. This application was not considered by the corporation.
He currently has several streets, squares, roundabouts both in Seville and other Andalusian provinces. In Seville there are five tiles-plates in his memory. For many the Pali is like El Cid, continues to win battles after his death.
