Adriano Celentano - Peppermint twist (1962)

Peppermint twist è il titolo del terzo album di Adriano Celentano, pubblicato nel 1962.
Dopo il ritorno dal servizio militare, Celentano decide di fondare una sua casa discografica, il Clan Celentano: Guertler, ritenendo a ragione che gli stia sfuggendo una gallina dalle uova d'oro, pubblica questo disco, riciclando ben undici canzoni presenti nei due album precedenti e solo tre inedite su LP (ma già uscite su 45 giri): Così no, La gatta che scotta (con il testo scritto da Tata Giacobetti del Quartetto Cetra) e la title track, che segue la moda dilagante in quel periodo del twist ed è la cover di un successo di Joey Dee and The Starliters (il testo italiano è un omaggio all'omonimo locale newyorchese dove nacque il famoso ballo).
Anche in questo disco tutte le canzoni sono arrangiate dal maestro Giulio Libano.
La copertina raffigura Celentano con la chitarra a tracolla in basso a destra, mentre il titolo occupa tutta la parte centrale.
Come i precedenti, anche quest'album verrà ristampato dalla Jolly in svariate serie economiche.

Peppermint Twist "is the title of the third album by Adriano Celentano, published in 1962.
After returning from military service, Celentano decided to found his own record company, the Clan Celentano: Guertler, considering that the reason is escaping from a hen that lays golden eggs, this public record, recycling eleven songs in the two previous albums and only three unreleased on LP (but already out on 45 laps): So no, the cat that burns (with the text written by Tata Giacobetti Quartet Cetra) and the title track that follows the fashion rampant at the time of the twist and is the cover of the success of Joey Dee and The Starliters (the Italian version is a tribute to the eponymous New York birthplace of the famous local dance).
Even in this record all the songs are arranged by Giulio Maestro Lebanon.
The cover depicts Celentano with the guitar strap to the bottom right corner, while the title occupies the central part.
Like the previous ones, this album will be reissued by Jolly in many economic series.
