Recording out of print and hard to find, from analogical source, released in 1990 in Spain by Dial Records label and dedicated to Russian folk music. Set a repertoire by the Instrumental Ensemble and Chorus of Boris Alexandrov (1905-1994), composer, arranger, conductor, music critic, artist and teacher of enormous prestige in the military music of his country.
The ensemble, still continuing the legacy of Alexandrov, worked with the collaboration of the best Russian musicians, but always focused on the importance of choral group over instrumental accompaniment (a mixture of conventional wind instruments, percussion, etc. .- and traditional Russian -balalaika, domra, bayan, etc .-) and the set of accompanying dancers. His repertoire has been and remains very wide, with a preference for Russian folk music.
