Yes - Live Radio 69 - 70 (2021)

Progressive rock pushed to its excellence ! The British band Yes represents one of the greatest hits of the genre, having managed to maintain and renew a substantial fan base thanks to their virtuosity, deep lyrics, complex harmonies and powerful vocal performances.
It was while working as a cleaner in a London bar that singer Jon Anderson met bassist/vocalist Chris Squire. The two soon realized that they had many musical influences in common, including a fervent admiration for the vocal harmonies of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, and they soon began writing songs together. Seeing that the bands around them have either good vocal elements or good instrumental parts, but never both at the same time, Anderson and Squire set out to achieve excellence in each of these two elements. They then recruited Tony Kaye on keyboard, Peter Banks on guitar and Bill Bruford on drums. Wanting a short, easy-to-remember name, the musicians decided to name their band Yes.
