    Their fans have been waiting a long time for this encore: Vanilla Ninja will release their new studio album "Encore" in 2021, a full 15 years after their last longplayer "Love Is War"

    Back in 2019, the pop-rock girl group from Estonia, which most recently consisted of Lenna Kuurma (guitar, vocals), Katrin Siska (keyboards) and Piret Järvis-Milder (guitar, vocals), came together for a charity event at Saku Suurhall in Tallinn to perform five songs live. "It just felt right to be back on stage," says frontwoman Lenna of the live comeback. A year later, the fourth member, Triinu Kivilaan (bass, vocals), also returned to the band.

    However, the idea for the record came earlier: "It may have been at the end of 2018 when our former producer David Brandes called Lenna and asked if we would be interested in making a new album. Then in January 2019 we flew to Germany together with Lenna, discussed the matter, sang the first demos and decided to go ahead!"

    Twelve new songs were created in the process, produced by Brandes. With "Gotta Get It Right", "No Regrets" and "The Reason Is You", the quartet presented three single releases this year, which promise a versatile album: from pop and rock with gothic influences to Irish folk sounds, electro and dance

    "Encore" is available as a standard CD and as an LP with twelve new songs as well as a fan box with the CD including bonus tracks and extended versions and a book.

    Vanilla Ninja formed in 2002 and released their self-titled debut album "Vanilla Ninja" the following year, featuring both English and Estonian songs. After the release of their first single "Club Kung Fu" in 2003, the girl band had several hits in Central Europe, including "Tough Enough", "When The Indians Cry" "Blue Tattoo" and "I Know". Until their breakup in 2006, three more albums were released: "Traces of Sadness" (2004) reached number three in the German charts, "Blue Tattoo" (2005) climbed up to number 4. "Love Is War" was released in 2006. In their home country Estonia all of them reached number one. 15 years later, album number five, "Encore", is waiting in the wings
