Facts And Figures is the 2006 album by Johan Angergård, who is better known under the pseudonym The Legends. This was released on 25 September, 2006 through the Labrador label.

Facts and figures is the sound of complete opposites coming together perfectly. The Legends combine the military precision of Kraftwerk and DAF with soft 60's style pop melodies; a hate of dance floors with dance music and perfectionism with the naive curiosity of a beginner. Over a classic album length of 10 songs and 34:45 minutes The Legends deliver an eclectic, still amazingly kept together piece of art. Sublime! "Facts and figures" is Johan Angergårds (Acid House Kings, Club 8, Poprace, The Legends…) 12th album and the 3rd with The Legends. Yet, it still feels as if he's only just begun. The Legends' curiosity and lust is obvious and they've stayed true to their indie ideals. They keep changing their sound from album to album and don't care if the people who bought their previous album will get the next one. Still, I somehow tend to expect everyone to love this. The fact that Facts and figures doesn't sound like anything The Legends have released before will come as no surprise for those who have followed the band. There is one big difference from their previous albums though: On both Up against the Legends and Public Radio they only used a limited range of influences at the same time and created almost conceptually exact sounds. Facts and figures on the other hand is very playful. The Legends experiment with brand new sounds and combine them with every brilliant pop tune they've ever heard and every band they've ever listened to. Eclectic and truly amazing!

Facts and figures is sugary, crystalline IDM by way of Swedish electronicians, The Legends. The nine or so members of the group have refined an album saturated by arpeggiations remniscient of New Order. But a lot more child-like.

This, their third album out on Labrador, is another fine example of the Swedish technopop the label houses. Facts and Figures puts the uptempo on display, featuring digitized vocals, synthpop drumbeat, and bouncing bass somewhat like Norwegians Röyksopp's or Erlend Øye's little brothers and sisters would do.

"Play It For Today" and "Lucky Star" have been issued as singles, and illustrate how catchy these tunes can be without abandoning their gazetronica roots. There's legit bounce and groove to these songs, but more subdued than the standard techno issue. They claim to be "a hate of dance floors combined with dance music", which is appropriate, as the timing and quickness of dancetronica is present, but the ambition and drive to actually move isn't there. It's dance music for your ears, not your legs. Headphones are a more sufficient arena than a nightclub.
