    The sole album from this British progressive quartet was released only in Germany (in 1971) on Bellaphon label - home of the other little known UK bands, like Diabolus, Crazy Mabel and Little Big Horn. The sound of Sunday was a superb combination of a quite intensive and powerful Hammond organ-driven parts linked (in the background) with some piano notes, spontaneous electric guitar leads and powerful rhythm section - with more than a trace of blues and psychedelia. It can be compared to the Jody Grind (their member, Pete Gavin was a drummer, here…), Atomic Rooster, early Argent, Procol Harum (at their heaviest) and late 60' s Pink Floyd. This CD edition was carefully remastered from the original, analogue source and sounds really great!

    ================================================================================

    After a long hunt on the internet I eventually tracked down a download of this rare English Prog album. It starts somewhat inauspiciously with a couple of frenetic and clumsy tracks but improves greatly from track 3 onwards. The vocalist, whilst having a very good voice, displays some ugly, soul influenced melodramatics - I never want to hear anyone sing "Baby, Baby, Baby…" again! Whilst we're on the negative aspects, the mix is very inconsistent, the Hammond being sometimes utterly lost in the background, whilst at other times it takes its place, centre stage and in proportion to the rest of the instruments. The organ is ever present throughout the whole album but there's not a lot of soloing and it's used mainly for padding out the sound. That aside, the results are pretty good and especially so when they slow things down a couple of bluesy workouts. A minor gem but not a lost classic.
    Mix of organ rock, hard rock and progressive. Another UK band who's only release was in Germany (like Diabolus, Odin). Good record and an even better cover that would make a nice choice for a mini-LP from Japan.
