Roger Mas - The Call from the Past (2018)

In The Call from past Roger Mas he met with his former colleagues Tom Warburton and Marc Ayza after having worked together previously in the trio led by drummer Marc Ayza. On this occasion it is he who assumes the leadership of this group to record this record that is the meeting point to resume the trip begun ten years ago.

Roger Mas is one of the most outstanding pianists of his generation and is also a prolific composer, proof of this are the ten originals that are part of this album where Mas unfolds his musical universe this time to the service of a trio incombustible from old acquaintances who keep their complicity intact.

The Call from de past has the special collaboration of the singer Laia Cagigal who brings her wonderful voice to four of the compositions that are part of this work, the perfect complement to a disc that confirms the great trajectory of this trio.
