Beloved Pennsylvania band The Innocence Mission, led by Karen and Don Peris, return with the exquisite and touching album See You Tomorrow. First track The Brothers Williams Said with Karen's stunning, heart-aching voice and a lyric both moving and profound, speaks to the sense of misunderstanding or labelling that can happen to people who have a quiet nature. Simon Raymonde of the Cocteau Twins calls the arrangements on See You Tomorrow "massively special- the beauty, the way the album builds to it's' striking finale in I Would Be There is bewilderingly lovely." See You Tomorrow touches on the major changes that happen in the life of a family, and the "intense desire to hold the present moment of togetherness". Sufjan Stevens has called their music "moving and profound. What is so remarkable about Karen Peris' lyrics are the economy of words, concrete nouns which come to life with melody."

In jazz or any music for that matter, there’s nothing quite like low brass. And within that family, there’s nothing like the trombone — warm and lyrical as a cello, yet able to swing hard and stand out in any ensemble, summoning the widest range of emotion and expression. Altin Sencalar and Chris Glassman, with their co-led debut Realization, have found their own way of showcasing the instrument to its fullest sonic potential: combining the tenor trombone (Sencalar) and bass trombone (Glassman) in one frontline unit.

Takahiro Yoshikawa, a Japanese pianist who has settled in Milan, presents this new release, which is a double date with Mozart. The concert took place in November 2019 at La Scala alongside the ballet Petite Mort by choreographer Jiri Kylian, which was written in honor of the bicentenary of Mozart's death. After highly acclaimed romantic and modern recordings dedicated to composers like Beethoven and Liszt, this is Yoshikawa's first recording dedicated to Mozart. Alan Becker of American Record Guide wrote of this album: "I'm impressed. This Japanese artist storms through the music as if a born Lisztian. There is an abandon here that keeps you on the edge of your seat - and a larger-than-life technique to wow you with his digital gifts. Still, he is also attuned to moments of reflection, and there is nothing shallow about his interpretations… "

Elisaveta Blumina prefers playing character pieces. This may be because, even as a child, she was attracted to the ballet and her most fervent wish was to become a ballerina. This wish was never to be fulfilled (You are too tall, they said at the ballet school, but it had a significant impact in her understanding of music: Through the perception of dance, of movements and the characters involved, she can get a better feeling for the music. The fundamental reason for the choice of repertoire on this album was that the works by Scriabin, Prokofiev, Weinberg, Frid and Kancheli also, for her, represent a retrospective connection to her home country.

Calvaire, Calvary - symbol of resignation and hope. Two expressive contemporary compositions illustrate and interpret the events of Golgotha and the associated extremes of human life and action in musical images. In their Calvaire settings, Helmut Vogel and Bjarne Hersbo tracked the phenomena of the coincidence of resignation and hope, space and time in their individual audio languages. Compositions of the late 19th and 20th centuries form contexts for the Calviare settings in their form and emotionality. Christoph Keggenhoff, organist at Speyer Cathedral for a long time, has expressive instruments available with the new organs, which develop timbres with great dynamics, depth, presence and power in the vast church interior. Dominik Keggenhoff created images for the artwork on the subject of this recording.

In 1735 Handel gave up opera due to dwindling public demand and turned his attention to the great sacred compositions. However, he took with him essential elements of the opera and transferred them to the oratorio, which he also called Sacred Dramas. The countertenor Franz Vitzthum has selected a number of wonderful Sacred Arias from various of these Sacred Dramas, in which his light, bell-pure alto voice comes into its own. He has compiled these arias into an exciting programme, which is finely set in scene by the Orfeo Baroque Orchestra conducted by Julian Tölle.

Renata Pereira writes of this new release: This album is entirely dedicated to the music of Brazil. It is very different from Falando Brasileiro (2014) because it is a Brazilian music sound photograph of the twentieth century. It is also very special work, because this photograph is unheard of! The repertoire on this album has never been recorded previously on recorders. We also present two original Brazilian compositions for the instrument, one of which was written in 2019 and is dedicated to the ensemble. It is an important part of our work to reveal Brazilian music and to promote the interest of Brazilian composers to write music for our instrument. As passionate as we are about the recorders history and its repertoire, to play our national music is to tell our musical story and not a foreign story.

The voice of the Narrator (Testo) shall be clear, steady and with good pronunciation, () in keeping with the passions of the oration. Thus the recommendation by Claudio Monteverdi in the preface to his Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda, published in Venice in 1638. Monteverdi's remarks on performance together with his actual music underline the tension between passions here between love and death, (Amore e morte, as the present collection is entitled), a combination which most people associate with a romantic aesthetic or sensibility. Yet an awareness of this association is better served through Monteverdi's fusion of words and music, heightening the perception of each by the combination of the two.

So Jin Kim writes of her new release: Mozarts music led me to discover my love for music at a young age. His music has been and continues to be a source of calm, inspiration, and motivation throughout my life and career. I hope that this recording conveys my love and appreciation towards his music. Mozart composed his third violin concerto, K. 216at the age of 19, most likely for himself or his father.
