Rémi Orts Project - A New Golden Age (2014)

French artist REMI ORTS PROJECT is the creative vehicle of composer and musician Remi Orts, who has been releasing music since the late 1990's under various subtly different guises. A common denominator for all his procustions is his desire to combine ambient music and progressive rock, both when releasing standalone instrumental albums as well as when vocalist Zara Angel lends her talents to Orts material.

Rémi Orts is a multi- instrumentalist from the south of France, member of SACEM and a specialist of instrumental newage and progressive rock music.
Rémi has been passionately fond of music since his earliest years. Creation is for him a vital need, a kind of language, a way of communicating. He learnt how to play the piano with his mother who was a music teacher, then he set to play the guitar, the bass and the drums. He studied harmony and the rudiments of music.
With the technological advance of recording techniques and especially with the C.A.M. ( Computer Assisted Music ), he has been able to record, mix and masterise his own compositions. With the help of Internet power, his albums are on sale on the major legal download platforms ,which enabled him to be recognized for his style at a worldwide level.
Hundreds of radios, internet radio stations, and lots of shopping-centers broadcast his music. Some of his works have been signed by the label Musea Records, first European label of progressive music.
Progressive instrumental music has enabled him to meet a lot of singers and particularly Zara Angel, a Belgian singer, with whom he has collaborated since 2011.
This musical association is divine. Thanks to Remi’s various musical influences and thanks to Zara, this duet has created a special universe where the fantastic, emotions and the magic mix together.
Zara writes the lyrics, but she also participates in the choice of sounds and arrangements. Rémi Orts and Zara Angel‘s music was born with a first album “The Mystic land of Reza”, a fantastic tale ,then with a second one, signed at Musea Records with a physical worldwide delivery.
Rémi’s musical universe doesn’t stop at these limits. He is not only a composer and an arranger of progressive music ,but he is also involved in different projects : he plays as a guitarist and he is a composer in his rock band NEVA , and with the artist Franck ALEXANDER; he also creates some compositions for the electro band HOTMIX. Rock, newage ,folk, classical or Celtic music are very different universes where Rémi draws his inspiration.
