Mary Rodgers is a performer, composer, arranger, private lesson instructor and booking agent. Graduating with a BA of Music on saxophone from UW-Milwaukee she went on to continue her musical career and education with both Curt Hanrahan (Saxophone instructor) and Greg Drust (Record Archivist/Radio DJ).
She joined The Invaders in 2007 on Alto and then on Baritone Sax. While in the Invaders, the band won a WAMI for the best Reggae/World Beat/Ska band of the year in 2008 and released the full length album "Where Ya Gone?" in 2009.
Mary later won her own WAMI for Reed/Brass Player of the year in 2013. As a multi-talented musician you may have seen Mary playing Alto, Tenor, and Baritone Saxophones, Flute, Bass Clarinet, Accordion, Piano or singing with the Dead Man's Carnival. Mary also showed her love for her favorite instrument, the Bari Sax in the Uptown Savages. You can hear Mary on the newly released "The Uptown Savages Rock & Roll With You".
Mary is featured on additional albums including Midwest Death Rattle's self titled album and their sophmore album "Post Apocalypso", Into Arcadia - "Escaper", Hillbilly Casino - "Live in the USA", and various compilation albums world wide.
As she has now moved to Nashville TN, you may see her as a freelance artist sitting in with groups such as The Art Adams Band, Woody Pines, The Bullhorn Boys, Nina Massara, The Highjivers, Paul Burch, The Zimmerman Twins, The Willies, Celine Lee, Bailey Dee, A Man Called Stu and many more.
