Back to perform the entirety of “pronounced leh-nerd skin-nerd“ and “Second Helping,” the first two legendary albums that forever planted their rebel flag in the Rock & Roll landscape.
The musical origins of Lynyrd Skynyrd come from the genuine, real-deal, American musical roots. They’re not a “roots band” as the term has come to be known in the 21st century. Not Americana, alt-Country, or the like. “Roots” as in the roots of Rock 8t Roll; Rhythm & Blues, Country 8c Western, Delta Blues, Honky-Tonk. These influences combined with the original band members love of British Blues-Rock (think Cream and Free) merged to form the sound of Skynyrd as we know it today.
