Lotte Lehmann: Airs d'opéra (1927-1933)

I am not specially enthusiastic by the german opera composers, with the exception of R. Strauss. But there are some singers like Lotte Lehmann that can thrill my latino blood. I heard her singing excerpts of "Trristan und Isolde" in the radio when I was a kid; I do not understood then any word but that voice electrified me. Lehmann also sang italian and french heroines but those even though dramatic do not cause the same effect on me. Even in these old recordings you can appreciate the dramatic intensity and sonorous size of her voice. I hope you like her as I do.
