    Wonderful symphonic art-rock from Mexico. Kromlech consists of Fernando Barajas (keyboards), Jesus Lomeli (bass & acoustic guitar), Leonardo Patino (drums) and Carlos Ruiz (electric guitar) in their self-produced debut album. Musically Kromlech is poetical art-rock with influences from symphonic, space progressive and to a lesser extent classical music. The debut album "La Soledad de las Sombras" (The Lonelyness of the Shadows) was released in 1998. The album follows a story line written by Nelida Vidal and is an instrumental revelation of beautiful progressive music. The quality of the compositions is very high and the effectiveness is raised with intricate arrangements. The music has a very good harmony because each instrument is given its space to shine. The interplay between the keyboards and the electric guitar is almost constantly breathtaking but the bass and the drums are also impressive making this album sound a real teamwork. This is music that floats in constant changes of mood, from fast to slow and from happy to dark passages.
