Koan - Non Fiction (2015)

The duo Koan was established in the early 90's joint efforts of the producer duo Roeth & Grey.
Daniel Roeth since the early 90's started as a freelance DJ, playing at events vinyl format techno and acid trance. After him came upon the first program Tracker DJ Daniel suspended operations and switched all his attention on the composer's craft. Parallel to this, Daniel was engaged in writing music for computer video games and musical collages for documentary films.

William Grey since the early '90s for a long time tracker modules programmed computer-based Atari-XE, Commodore-64 and PC, and also worked as a demo sceners, Multi-specialist computer and sampler music. Sound designer and music critic with a wide outlook. At the moment, William - art director and executive producer of Koan.

Being introduced in 1993. Roeth & Grey began their work together, starting from sampler subculture and elements of trance music. Clearly divided their responsibilities within the studio space they founded four unique project: Koan (Chillout), Vacuum Stalkers (Progressive trance), Roeth & Grey (Minimal, Progressive House, Techno) and Fatum Sci-Fi (alternative sub koan).
