This is a very unique album by KMFDM because it's like they are transitioning into the band that they are today but also delve into different genres like reggae, rap to a certain extent, and there is definitely a punk sensibility to this album. The metal/hard-rock roots also start to become more defined and blended with the industrial/electronic dance sound. Some people may not understand this album if they are used to their later stuff but there is a lot to offer here. It's one that I listened to on repeat and enjoy just as much as some of their later stuff. KMFDM released many singles and the version of "Rip the System" on here isn't my favorite but is definitely one of their classic songs. If you're open to KMFDM experimenting with different sounds, definitely pick this up. If you're more into the metal driven, industrial/electronic version of the band, I would listen to some song samples. Especially Rip the System, Thrash Up, More and Faster, and En Esch. Newcomers to the band, start with Angst, Naive, or Nihil because you may be turned off. ~Amazon
