Unique melancholic: tenth album by the Swedish Electronic-Songwriters.
Since 1996 the Swedish producer, songwriter and singer Jay Jay Johanson provides us regularly with his coined by film-noire atmosphere and jazzy vocals Trip-Hop and Electronic. With "Opium" Jay Jay Johanson puts before his tenth album, which in ten songs he tells us ten stories and once again takes us into its very own world, always something otherworldly-looking.
A world that focus again Johanson's unique, melancholic voice is that he knows how to transmit in a parallel universe of Ennio Morricone and John Barry. Around the song "Moonshine", a tragic love letter is read against the dark, cinemaskopischen background a spooky beats and heavy electronics. Guests on "Opium" is the German duo to hear radio interference, as well as Robin Guthrie of the Cocteau Twins, with Johanson in 2000 collaborated on the album "Poison". For fans of Portishead, Massive Attack, John Grant.
