Gus Till is one of the true pioneers of the psychedelic trance sound. Having worked with music since the 70s he found himself in London at the height of the goa trance moment. He had productions on almost every significant record label of the day - including Dragonfly, Twisted and TIP, but it was his work with the Slinky Wizard and Stoop and Fidget projects on Flying Rhino that earned him a reputation for absolute top quality. Despite this, he never managed to release a full length dance album. With the demise of Flying Rhino, and much more of the older material difficult to find, Gus has chosen to release not one but two compilations of his music. Sonic Dragon is very proud to bring you these releases. The first - the Rhino Years Vol.1 is a compilation of music released during the days of Flying Rhino - many released only on vinyl, and some different mixes of the ones previously released. A solid collection of memories for anyone who was there, and a refreshing introduction to the past for those who weren't.
Rest of the Rhino Daze - the Missing, the Unreleased and a Coupla Classics. Sonic Dragon is proud to present the second in a two part series from one of the pioneers of the psytrance movement, Gus Till. The first part brought to you a collection of Gus's finest work that he has released over the years. However now we have something very special - 7 unreleased tracks (a collection of tracks that never saw the light during those years) and two more classics. Here we present you with some of Gus's finest work, including collaborations with James Munro and Texas Faggott. This is classic psychedelic trance, from an artist who was never afraid to experiment but always produced material at a level of quality that many would try to emulate. A collection like this would have been prized a decade ago, but as a testament to Gus's work still stands a level above the rest today. Whether a collector looking for a new gem, or a recent convert aiming to expand their library, this is a compulsory purchase for anyone with a love for psychedelic trance.
