New Age instrumentalist/composer Gomer Edwin Evans created albums of smooth, meditative music like 1997's Music For Friends Of The Rainforest for the Oreade label. 1999 saw the release of Sensual Moods and Intimate Moods.
Gomer Edwin Evans was born September 24, 1947 in Cardiff (Wales). In his musical arsenal classical guitar, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, piano, accordion, synthesizer, bass guitar, harmonica and flute. Evans studied classical guitar and music theory at the College of Music in Cardiff.
In the 80 years Evans toured the US and played folk music in more than 500 cities and towns. Subsequently he toured Europe as a street musician. "It was a great way to explore the world" - he recalls.
