Giana Factory - Lemon Moon (2014)

Two Danish forces have joined together for one heck of a track. Giana Factory have enlisted the talents of Trentemøller to produce their highly anticipated second album, Lemon Moon. The first taste of the record is the title track which sees Giana Factory expanding as a band to strange and cool new places. It's clear Trentemøller has left his mark on this song with the pulsating synths and driving beat synonymous with a lot of his solo work. Even the lyrical content, “We will leave very soon, we will fly to the moon”, has an eerily similarity to 'Moan'. Another thing that stands out is the smooth yet haunting vocals of Loui Foo (sister of The Ravonettes Sharon Foo). It's cold and dark but at the same time hypnotically catchy. You get the feeling listening to the song that you're going to be beamed up into the sky by another life form. The accompanying music video which depicts a real-life exorcism is an apt fit for the song, if anything it takes both elements to another level (and is fucking creepy).
