Ennio Morricone - Once Upon a Time in the West (1969) OST

Hauntingly refreshing and mysterious, from beginning to end! Brings back so many childhood memories of when I first saw this movie in the theater. Just listening to it brings visions of various scenes in my head. I especially enjoy the tracks featuring the lead female vocalist. I could listen to her sing 24/7! Finest musicians and vocalists ever, along with on-point whistling. Love it so much and glad it's in my music collection for always!

Having bought the marvellous original soundtrack for "Once Upon a Time in America" I was reminded of how much I loved the soundtrack for "Once Upon a Time in the West" and Morricone's music in general, so bought this album.

It is as good as I remembered and expected although I could not recall ever hearing track 4 ("The Transgression") in the movie. My only disappointment is, with a running time of less than 40 minutes, the album is a tad short, but it is still worth buying and great value - definitely worth 5 stars.
