Sul palco Edo Notarloberti, violinista degli Ashram e di Corde Oblique, che ha ideato e fatto crescere negli anni il progetto “Concerto al buio”, e la pianista Martina Mollo, accompagnati, per l’occasione, da performance coreografate da Valeria Papale e danzate dalla compagnia Imperfect Movement.
Assistere ad un “Concerto al buio” per gli spettatori significa lasciarsi destabilizzare da un iniziale stato di intrigante sorpresa, provocato dall’oscurità che gradualmente invade la sala, cui subentra la magia assoluta della musica; al buio cadono le barriere, si perde la cognizione del tempo, si diventa più percettivi.
Gli artisti in scena, invece, accettano la sfida di confrontarsi senza spartiti e di cooperare, in modo assolutamente singolare, in totale assenza di luce.
Nel disco, accanto ad alcune novità, sono presenti brani già editi con formazioni e sonorità diverse o composizioni proposte solo nei concerti, che riacquistano la forma originaria affidata al violino ed il pianoforte.
La registrazione dell’album è avvenuta in sala di registrazione in presa diretta, senza sovraincisioni ed in totale oscurità, proprio per preservare la magia che l’esecuzione al buio riserva.
